Dimplex XLE 0.5kw Storage Heater 7 Day Timer Eco design Compliant - XLE050

Had this heater delivered end September awaiting installation to new home- delayed til early Nov. NO heat cell brickettes were delivered.Seller stated out of 30 days return policy. Amazon stated still within their A-Z 90 days return policy but refused to compensate. I am not an electrician or heat appliance expert. Also, disabled so would not unpack large item. Awaited others or unpack when electrician cd instal.Piece of tin costing over £500.!! Beyond disgusted!

I have read very negative reviews by a number of people saying either it doesn't work (it doesn't get hot) or you need to be a genius to program it.Anyway, I took the plunge and bought 3, one this size and 2 a bit larger. Firstly, they do work, but they don't get hot, the blower throws the heat out according to the times you set. Otherwise the heat stays pretty much inside. Secondly setting them up is pretty simple, no need to be a genius, but reading the instructions is recommended - clearly some people don't. There are even some presets which do all the work for you - though most likely you will want to vary the times set.Read up on what these things can/can't do before buying. If you think they will suit your needs, these work nicely.
