Vandoren CR103 Bb Clarinet Traditional Reeds Strength 3; Box of 10

I've been using Vandoren CR1035 Bb Clarinet Reeds (Strength 3.5) for quite some time now, and I can confidently say they are some of the best reeds on the market! I’ve been getting Vandoren reeds from Amazon for a while now (the Wise Music store near me doesn’t sell them), and they’re good every time. Vandoren reeds just last longer and sound so much more smooth on both sax and clarinet compared to other reeds I’ve bought in the past. I recently started playing clarinet as an alto sax so I made sure to try out both size 2 and size 3.

Been using this brand of reeds for 10 years. Can’t go wrong with them - long lasting, strong, and the wood doesn’t splinter easily. You can get a few months of use out of each reed (try not to wear any tinted lip balms, they will stain the wood and leave it greasy), very durable.I’ve tried both the 2, 2.5, and 3. As a beginner, stick to the 2-2.5 range, and advance up to 3 (or beyond) as you develop and strengthen your embouchure.

These reeds are quality. Break them in right and they are fine. I've gotten five out of ten good so far. If you used a Rico orange box as I did, then these are stiffer but produce a smoother sound for me.

These reeds are a staple for my daughter who plays the clarinet for school. Whenever she needs more, I have always just clicked repurchase on these because they are very reliable and priced right. Over the last 2 purchases (maybe 3...) she had 1 reed that wasn't the best and she sounded like a goose....but other than that, they have been great!
