I am using this grater/slicer nearly every day, for a wide variety of foods. It saves a lot of time in preparations, and is sturdy and easy to clean (usually just needs rinsing off with water). It matches my decor and looks cute on the counter.I first bought one to prepare food for someone who had a medical condition requiring their food to be ground up or liquified. But I liked it so much that I also bought one for myself, and another for my daughter.The slicing attachment slices cheeses very nicely; as well as apples, carrots, cabbage, squashes, cucumbers, mushrooms, most kinds of vegetables (I discovered last night that when slicing eggplant it makes a loud, squeaky noise). It is better for produce that has a bit of firmness. Tomatoes and strawberries get squished. Onions, garlic and ginger work well, and following them with another vegetable cleans out the aromatic residue.It also grates very nicely, so you can save money by grating your cheese at home. I slice cabbage, then grate beets, carrots, turnips, etc. to make healthy and flavorful coleslaws.I have grated nuts and chocolate chips to sprinkle on desserts with great results as well.You want to adjust pressure for the firmness of what you are slicing or grating. Some things will need a little back and forth to make sure you don't put a strain on the machine or force the suction on the counter to disengage. This is really not a problem. (I haven't broken one, I just know from experience not to force things.)I like that this requires no electricity to power it, and makes no noise (except on eggplants). It doesn't require much strength, either. I've been recovering from full thickness rotator cuff tears in both shoulders, and using this is easy for me.It is one of my favorite purchases. I have no complaints. I highly recommend it.

Sturdy product, works as advertised and has easy clean up. Knobs and handles are easy to use, item sealed to the counter thoroughly and unsealed easily with a turn of the knob. Quickly shredded a block of cheese and carrots.

I used it about 10 times before the base stopped adhering to the counter, which is a HUGE detriment. It takes 3 hands to use it now. However, I still love how great it shreds and how easy it is to clean! But when I use it now, I need my husband to hold the base for me, so this is why I'm giving it 4 stars. I use it mainly for cheeses, carrots, cucumbers, radishes, and zucchini.

Easy to use and clean. My main use has been for grating blocks of cheese because I got tired of bloody knuckles from my old box-type grater. Grating cylinders are sharp and do a good job. The different sizes for grating, shredding, and shaving are exactly as expected. I've cleaned the parts in the dishwasher with no problem. If anything, the suction portion on the bottom isn't the strongest but I'm only grating cheese.

We are having so much fun with the this item. The strong suction makes it very stable and safe, which allows my granddaughter to help with food preparation. The handle is great for arthritic hands. Storage is a breeze.

This thing is so easy to use for cheese. Will go through a block of cheese in a few minutes. Easy to set up and clean. Would buy again.

This grater is a must buy. If you prefer freshly grated cheese, sliced potatoes and veggies, etc, then this grater is for you. It’s easy to set up, the suction lock on the base is very strong, and with it being dishwasher safe, cleanup is a breeze. Highly recommend!
