Perfect fit for AM102577 on John Deere Hydro 175
Replaced the solenoid on my John Deere Hydro 175 with the 14hp Kawasaki engine. Was a perfect match and functioned as expected. The original part from John Deere was the AM102577.

Easily installed and worked perfectky
I self diagnosed my starting problem as being a week solenoid. Ordered this item, received it in a timely manner, installed it easily, and it worked perfectly.

did not work
unit came and the insulator between posts was broken, still tried to install, both studs were inserted backwards in the coil, corrected and still tried to install, as soon as i hooked up the battery with key off starter motor runs continuously so it is shorted internally as well. Bought new one from John Deere worked instantly, so much for trying to save a some money.

Item was defective.
I ordered an open box solenoid and it arrived on time. It did not work ( was defective) and I got the pleasure of paying $7.99 to return it since I am in a small rural town without a UPS store to drop it off. I would not order an open box item on something like this again as I bet the reason it was returned first time was likely defective.
