Thermaltronics TMT-TC-2 Tip Tinner (20g) in 0.8oz Container

I finally can solder! It turns out I never had the tip of my iron tinned correctly. I had tried various irons over the years and could never solder a decent joint. I didn't realize the importance of a perfectly clean, perfectly tinned iron. After some research I decided to try this tip tinning compound. Works like a charm! Now that my iron is tinned, I have been able to solder wires without burning the insulation off. To keep the iron clean, I just wipe it on a wet sponge during and after use and it is ready for next time! So glad I finally tried this!!!

It worked sort if. I had a tip on my soldering iron that had turned black. I cleaned it with steel wool and then heated it up andvtinnted the tip. It attached sort of but when I used solder on it again it started coming off with the solder. The amount that you get is kind of small but sufficient to use multiple times. It sort of cleaned the tip but honestly it's just about easier to replace the tip than retina it. The value for my money is ok.

Works just like is suppose to.Was able to save a pair of non replaceable solder gun tips from 60 years ago and work perfect now.

It saves you from buying a whole new tip for your soldering iron. Instead, just dip it in this product and it comes out as new!

A good item for damaged soldering tips. Follow the instructions and this will work.

Works well...lid is hard for me to remove, so I don't tighten it.
