This is amazing!
Update I'd have had two of these now for about 2 months and they are wonderful! All functions work perfectly and it's such a better design!Well this is amazing! For $29.99 I just received the best designed clamp meter that I've ever owned! First thing is that it defaults to DC volts when you put it to the volt position. Second thing is the screen is easy to read and with one button has a bright backlight. Third thing is I just timed the auto off function and it's about 20 minutes! It is so infuriating that all of these high-tech expensive voltmeters shut themselves off in about 2 or 3 minutes and I have to turn it back on again and while I'm using it. The most impressive feature is that it is a DC clamp meter as well as an AC clamp meter. This is very unusual. Almost all clamp meters are AC but in order to get a DC clamp meter you usually have to spend a lot more money. I also very much like the fact that the test leads plug into the bottom rather than the front. This allows you to store the cords in the case without having it take up space. It also has a small button on the right side to hold readings in case the meter is in a location you can't actually see the screen when you're taking a reading. Another unusual feature is that it does measure Hertz. Very impressed!

Great deal!
I've been using this for a few years now, and I really think it's a great deal for the price. Unlike my incredibly expensive fluke, this can measure current in mA. The only thing I don't like about it is that its refresh rate is slow. So for fast variations in voltage, like under a couple hundred ms, it won't pick those up. I'm not looking for millisecond accuracy, but in some cases the stuff I test will have short voltage variations that I just need to know are happening. For this I switch over to my fluke.

Broke down for me after few month of light use
Broke down for me after few month of light use. Circular selector dial stopped working properly. It became very sensitive and sporadically turning device on and off. Also AMP meter started to show randomly wrong value. For example I would turn on AMP meter and it would show 7.5 amps even so it should be zero. I had to disassemble the device and check contacts responsible for circular dial. When I assembled device it started to work properly again.

Excellent meter for the price point
Seems to be well made and has many, many outstanding functions. The DC clamp on amps setting was the main reason I bought this to monitor DC current flow in a new solar PV panel / controller / battery setup. Works perfectly and seems to be very accurate.

Good Home Use Meter
Works great. I used to troubleshoot a furnace fan not working. I like the fact it has a clamp style amp meter. Not sure if I would compare it to a high dollar Fluke, but Im not using this daily or for trade work. It's more appropriate for home use.

Good meter, and a great value
Great value in an all-purpose meter. I regularly use the capacitance measurements. The temperature measurement, and most of the other functions. A big bonus would be if the LCD screen was bigger, but this unit is a great value!

Very Versatile and Solidly built
Solid build and pretty easy to use. Got it for the clamp amperage which works well. Although it is auto-ranging, it initiates clamp current mode in DC where, at least for me, the normal measurements are AC. Not hard to change the selection, but it seems like the wrong default mode. Likewise, for measuring voltage, one needs to cycle between DC, AC and HZ by pushing a button. Pay attention to the mode, otherwise you'll not be getting the measurements you expect. I recommend it though - it does do a lot of different measurements, and it's a good versatile tool for home repairs.
