After purchasing the 8" boss audio atv Bluetooth Atv speaker and returned it because it was way to bulky and too many wires. This 6 " Atv stero works well. At 30-40mph you can hear the music clearly. The volume isn't distorted when on max volume which is nice too. It is made of heavy duty plastic. The straps I wish were a type of ratchet type to make tightening them easier and more secure. I've road about 40 miles with this on my atv so far though all kinds of mud and trails and works perfect still. People that ride with me end up saying they want one! I haven't had it fully submerged but have had it in the rain and mud and works great!

I was looking for a new sound system for our old Jeep. Options were a bit limited due to the design of the Jeep... especially limiting were speaker options. I wanted bluetooth so I could play podcasts and youtube... I searched for hours before stumbling across the BOSS AUDIO ATV25B. At first I thought it wouldn't work but after searching YouTube and Jeep forums I decided to try it. If it didn't work for the Jeep I could find other uses for it. I installed it in the back "trunk" area of the Jeep.... ran the wires under the carpet and wired the 12v + wire into a switched power source. I secured the bluetooth controller pod to the center console to allow for easy volume and track changes. I turned on the key and hit the center button on the bluetooth controller to power up the speaker system and searched for BOSS AUDIO bluetooth in the systems settings of my iPhone. It synced easily and I was playing music in seconds. Installation was REALLY EASY!!! The sound surprised me. The bass response is really deep. This is probably exaggerated by it being mounted in the "trunk" which is a small space and the speakers are facing the rear door so the bass bounces of the door. It gets LOUD..... much louder than I expected. The treble is somewhat muted ... again most likely due to the mounting location... but overall the sound is acceptable. If your phone has extended settings for audio that allows you to adjust the bass and treble levels it would help a lot. Maybe a 3rd party app??? Overall.... this has exceeded my expectations. Easy to install.... syncs easily and quickly.... with most radio stations offering apps it allows you to listen to your favorites via your phone or tablet..... and Pandora - YouTube - why pay big $$$ for a new system when you have everything on your phone.... all you need is this speaker system!

It was very easy to set up and use. I was hoping it would have a little more thump to it, but it doesn't. Overall, it is like having stock speakers in a 1981 Toyota Corolla. It makes sound; it sounds good, but not great quality or loudness, as I would like. Should have gone with the 8" option. I will still use it and I did mount it right by the head rests so I can hear it as long as I am not going full throttle.I did drill a couple holes and used nutserts to mount it to my roll bars. They should come up with some kind of mounting bracket other than the cheap straps they provide.

Work's great even better than expected connects to ATV as a motorcycle helmet so you can control everything from the ATV controllers.

Sound is ok. If you're going at a slower pace. Once I hit about 45, I can't hear it over the engine noise of the rzr. Installed in a 2011 900XP. Chopped the cage, installed it on the back, pointing towards the seats, so rearview mirror is pretty worthless now. Bluetooth is great, and I do like the ease of use/setup - super easy. All in all, I like it - but mainly because I got it for half the retail price on prime day. If I had to it to do again, I would go a different route for audio, just so I would be able to hear it going down the road. However, since we do more crawling than trail riding, it'll do.Update - I see reviews saying using the aux cord generates better sound. I will try that next.UPDATE #2 - 4/10/2017 - I purchased this in July of 2016 to install on a Polaris Rzr. Up until this weekend it has been used 4-6 times and has around 15-20 hours on it. This last weekend we went out and I plugged it in, and I connected bluetooth. No sound. I messed with the volume and cords for a bit and heard a bit of a verse of a song that had static, and came out one speaker at a low volume, even though it was turned all the way up for - about 10 seconds, and then total silence. I will contact Boss to see if there's anything they can do about it and I will update here.UPDATE#3 4/18/2017 - I emailed the company on 4/10/2017 & was promptly emailed back by a Raul Garcia (Raul.Garcia@bossaudio.com) and was informed that I had to include my receipt in order for them to get information to process a return authorization. Item includes a one year manufacturers warranty. I responded that day with the information he requested. I responded again on 4/17/2017 asking why they haven't contacted me. And as of today, EIGHT DAYS LATER - nothing.I am changing my rate from a 3 star to a 1 star due to lack of customer service & due to the item not being able to prove it's advertising hype.Conclusion - speaker is 8 months old. Used it less than 20 hours and has now quit working. Company was quick to respond on the first email but has since dropped the ball. VERY disappointed in this purchase. Next time I will not go the cheap route, as in the end it only costs more money. Will look into a real speaker system.4/24/2017 - I have emailed the company 3 more times, and nothing. Stay far and away from this item.4/26/17 - Since Boss Audio will not contact me - I contacted Amazon about advice on what I should do. I was this clos () to taking Boss Audio to small claims court - JUST to prove a point (I know, it would have done nothing for the cash I'm out, probably cost me more, but maybe for future purchases it would have made them respect their customers more). ANYWAY - Amazon is replacing the speaker for free. AND sending me a prepaid shipping lable to send back the old one. Sorry that Amazon has to take this up the you know what, but this is the reason I shop with Amazon, and I try to make sure Amazon is the seller on most of my purchases. At least I can trust them when it comes to customer service. Boss Audio? NEVER AGAIN. If this speaker craps out, I'm done. I'll get a real system for my rig.
