Good for smaller mics, but…
I needed something to cover a side-facing mic when a university student might have it upside down. It’s snug and not falling off.

Valuable in the studio with different people applying disinfectants
I picked up a microphone in one of our studios and found a substantial amount of liquid on the wind screen. Found that someone had sprayed disinfectant after every use for several days, then they finally decided the microphone wasn't working properly! I wonder why! I was able to dry the element with cotton swabs, and replaced the foam, saving several hundreds of dollars in replacing the entire mike inventory.
