This essential oil starter is great. We had been doing research about essential oils for quite some time and decided to give this package a try since it seemed worth the risk to us to give them a try. My wife bought it to begin using essential oils without having to spend a lot of extra money buying into memberships with other oil dealers. We weren't sure how we would like them, but after having them for almost two months, we feel like the oils have more than paid for themselves already in benefits. We've had great success with the peppermint, lavendar, and some of the citrus oils. We've used them for muscle aches/pains, sinus pressure and tension headaches. We are not as impressed with the lime oil in particular because we've tried it for getting rid of sticky substances (supposedly it's supposed to be similar to a "goo-gone" in terms of getting rid of stickiness), but so far that's our only experience that has been less than stellar thus far. Although we haven't tried each of the oils, we would highly recommend the lavendar, the peppermint, and the lemon oils.

Nice Starter Essential Oil Set
I have been using the essential oils from this starter set over the past two months. I use them primarily in an essential oil diffuser, but have begun using them in homemade candles as well. The size and variety of oils in this set are great for beginners that are learning about the uses of essential oils, and determining favorite scents and blends. The only downside is that some of the droppers built into the bottles will often seem to "clog". A good shake will usually take care of this.I will note that one of the bottles in the gift set was open upon arrival. It was not a significant spill inside the box, but the scent of lemongrass was overwhelming. I tightened the lid on the jar, and cleaned up the box. The jar did not seem to have any less fluid in it than the others, so the small spill with such a potent smell reiterated for me that these essential oils are in fact pure, powerful, and undiluted.

Frannie IS Fabulous
This is a great starter kit for novices, or just a great price to replace some of the most popular EO's in any oiler's set. This is actually the first set I purchased so I had nothing to compare it to, but now that I've purchased other oils from other brands to compare them to, it turns out that they're excellent oils. Each bottle is 10 ml, or 1/3 ounce. These dark amber bottles come with the little euro-droppers. If I remember correctly, each ml is roughly 20 drops, so that's 200 drops per bottle. Because EO's are so strong, you only need very, very small amounts when you use them. I've used these in a homemade vapor rub for my daughter, several kinds of lotion bars, whipped body butter, and oil blends for my face. Oh, and most often in my Allay Aromatherapy Essential Oil Diffuser, Pink ... well, not the Allay but the DEW, but it's sold out so there's no link... although I did order the Allay yesterday. These diffusers are an amazing way to use aromatherapy in your home without wasting your oils.

DoTerra, Young Living, etc. Brand comparison:
In case the labels are a bit hard for you to read in the picture, the oils you receive in this set are: Rosemary, Peppermint, Tangerine, Lavender, Sweet Orange, Tea Tree, Eucalyptus, Lemongrass, Spearmint, Lemon, Grapefruit, Pine Needle, Lime, and Patchouli.I was afraid the quality of the oils would be affected by the price. They were wonderful. I've tried DoTerra and other hyped brands: there's no noticeable drop in quality. A few years ago, I bought a DoTerra starter set similar to this one. I ran out of those oils a while ago, but delayed replacing them because of the price. I recently bought a diffuser , and being anxious to use it, decided to break down and buy some more oils. I reasoned that, because the oils were basically just going be used as a natural air freshener, as opposed to therapeutic, oral, or medical use, they didn't have to be premium quality (or premium price). So, I went on Amazon and bought these because they were the best price for a seemingly good value. Well, I don't regret it. Not only have they been suitable for diffuser-use, they are excellent all-around, and appropriate for anything you would use the other brands for. I expect the reason they are cheaper than brands like DoTerra is not because of sacrificed quality, but because of sacrificed middle-men. As someone with experience in essential oil retailing, and who personally knows a few people who sell it, I'm familiar with the details of these pyramid schemes. Yes, DoTerra and others are good quality oils. There's nothing wrong with them. There's also nothing wrong with the people who sell them: they've popularized and publicized a naturally beneficial product that would otherwise have remained obscure. But, for them to claim that it's the inferior quality of other essential oils and NOT the inbuilt inefficiency of their own distribution model that raises the prices so grotesquely is not just dishonest, but manipulative. People should feel comfortable buying what they feel comfortable affording, especially when it's something many are turning to as an alternative medical treatment.Anyway, the product itself is great. I've now tried every single oil in the set, to great satisfaction. The bottles have convenient droppers, and the labels are attractive enough to display in a professional setting. The only complaint I have is with the selection of oils included. In my opinion, there are too many citrus oils. If you count Lemongrass, which smells very much like Lemon, six out of fourteen oils in this pack are citrus. I suspect this is because citrus is cheaper. If that's what's allowing them to sell this set at a reasonable price, oh well. As long as you don't hate citrus, it's worth it. I'd prefer a little more variety, but it won't stop me from buying it again when I run out. If they just switched one or two of the citruses to a flower oil, or something nice, like sandalwood, I'd give it five stars.

They smell great. Nothing special. Great starter set.
Let me start by saying, I am not an essential oil salesman so I will shoot you straight. They smell as expected. I would not ingest them or any other essential oil for that matter. I do not buy into the essential oil wonders that oil companies are trying to sell you. Its a scented oil. No more or no less.Bought as a gift for my wife. See wanted to "get into" essential oils after reading about them and hearing from friends at the wonders they contain. I definitely did not want to pay an arm and leg for something to try out and not get the expected wonderful results.I would recommend this as a great starter gift set. It has a lot of the oils for making different blends. We usually pick two or three scents and diffuse around the house.I do not get the amazing results or even notice any differences. Just a nice aroma when diffused.
