This was a gift for my daughter. She loves it and it’s a perfect size! No choking hazards and she’s learning how to use these different products. She loves to watch me do my make up so it’s fun for her to be able to “do” hers too!! There’s no sound and this is a super durable product! Considering my 2 year old has had it for a while!! Cute and fun for kids!

I bought this for my 2.5 year old daughter and it arrived today. I can already tell it’s a 10 out of 10 toy. One thing she loves is painting nails. The problem is, after all our nails are painted she still wants to keep going. The fun ends too quickly. One day she came across an unused paint brush and she pretended to paint my nails over and over for a few days. That’s when I thought this toy might actually go over really well rather than frustrating her due to the lack of paint.Upon opening the delivery box she immediately gasped and wanted to play. She might have been confused or disappointed by the lack of paint for maybe 10 seconds. I started following the activity card and showing her how to use all the accessories. By that point she was hooked! We played nail shop for 45 minutes straight until I had to insist we go pick up her brother from school. She brought a few polish bottles with her for the ride!I like all of the accessories included so she has realistic play. The polish bottles and brushes are slightly oversized and the other accessories are a thick plastic, so everything should be durable in little hands. I love that the clear plastic shelf is functional and that all the accessories (besides the bowl and dryer) store on it, including grooves to hold the color guide and the activity card. I see her looking at the pictures on the activity card and trying to follow along, so I’m glad it has a dedicated spot so we won’t lose it. Neither me nor my daughter are particularly girly, but this is an incredibly adorable play set! The price is decent and with a name like Melissa and Doug backing it, I wouldn’t hesitate to gift it or recommend it to others.

My 2 year old loves to watch me do my makeup and wants to participate, but I don't want her making a mess, and play makeup is made from horrible stuff that would never be allowed in actual cosmetics...So I bought these. They look pretty realistic, the powder pans are a soft foam so they even FEEL right.These have brought us hours and hours of fun, with no mess and all imagination. Highly recommend.

Perfect for any mom who doesn’t want her child getting into the real nail polish! lol. My daughter loves it. Packaging was good, no damage and everything comes exactly as pictured. Quality is great, and not too small. My daughter is 9 and loves it. Super cute buy for any little girls getting into nail polish and loves playing nail salon.

I’m not a huge fan of play make up sets that actually come with makeup for little girls. This is perfect! Everything is pretend and looks like the real thing. I’m all for storing it right next to mine so my toddler isn’t tempted to play with mine while I’m getting ready. Perfect for little girls who want to pretend to get all dolled up and for parents who aren’t ready for actual makeup to enter their child’s life too soon.

I bought this as a toy for kids coming to playgroup at my library. I’m a children’s librarian. ALL the kids play with it. And what’s funny is all the kids seem to know how to use the brushes and which makeup goes where. It’s super cute. Melissa and Doug is good quality for the price. Bonus, it’s easy to store!

I think it’s good to keep my 23 mo’s attention for about 20 mins which is fair and she regularly picks the makeup up and tries to do hers and mine. The eyeshadows, blushes, contour to take the realness up a level. My complaint is that she was able to break all the tops off the pallets of blushes eyeshadows etc and some go back on and some the little piece to keep it in snapped or bent so it won’t fully function right anymore and I feel like the design of the lid makes it a little hard for kids to open just cuz the handles right over the notch to open. Just needs a slight better design and ease of use for 5 stars

Saw this set in an ASMR video and liked it so I got me and my toddler one!Well made, one of the few toys I've bought recently that doesn't feel cheaply made. Little details about the "makeup" makes it more realistic (like the resealable towlette pouch can be opened to find two little dry wipes inside, the powder palettes have textures to them which I tried to show in the picture, the foundation bottle pumps, etc.) Everything fits easily into the caboodle and doesn't get in the way of it closing. The stuff that snaps shut isn't too tough for a 2 year old to open and close herself. Mirror on the case is clear and functional.Cute kit overall! Not too complicated for kids but enough moving pieces that both she and I enjoy playing with it!This also made me realize maybe I should be looking for more of her toys from Melissa & Doug specifically :)
