We’ve had this about 3-weeks now. We examined several other brands and were not impressed. Took a chance on this one based upon reviews and so far it’s a winner. Very easy to put on and take off; quite durable construction; and adjustable. Ordered a medium for our 52 lbs Aussie and the fit is good - a small might have even worked also, given that adjustability the medium can go much larger). He loves it and seems less stressed during walks. No chance he is going to slip out of this! It’s secure. Saw a couple reviews about dogs chewing it. Suppose if you leave it on them after walks or let them play with it then it’s possible, but for us, we take it off him straight away after walks and put it away, so that’s a non-issue. We walk about three times a day - 3-1/2 to 4 miles daily. We do recommend it.

Sturdy, Practical, Stylish, Strong Buckles. Appears very well made & sewn properly. Fabric feels soft enough for the skin, yet also very durable & sturdy. The 2 silver colored buckles to attach a leash to are the BEST I’ve seen on any of the 6 halters we’ve bought in recent years & I can’t see them breaking as some others have. These compare to buckles on the last KONG halter we got 2 years ago, but the fabric on that 1 was torn & shredded after the dog got caught up in dense thorny bushes in the woods while chasing a deer. ☹️I don’t think this fabric will shred or tear like that 1 did (& other brands have), but time will tell.I’d recommend this halter for active dogs & if you like to attach things to your dog’s halter for Jim to carry on your hikes.There’s a lot of strong Velcro to attach small pouches of snacks for BOTH of you 😁 & other things you may need; as well as a sturdy elastic string you can weave in to hold small water bottles, pocket knives, solar phone charger, etc..I’ll write a 2nd review in 3-6 months IF it doesn’t hold up as expected, but as of now, it appears to be the best 1 we’ve purchased on Amazon. 👍🏼

We were looking for new harnesses for both our dogs (medium-large sized).We measured both our dogs and ended up getting 2 Large Grey ones. Our dogs were right in between the M and L size limit, so we decided to go for the L. L size fits them great.Our dogs aren't a specific breed; they're mixed and were adopted off the street, so I can't offer breed specific sizing.We knew the specs we wanted the harness to have: a grabbing handle on top, hook-n-loop panels so we could attach some name patches + other patches, leash clips on both the front and back. This harness has it all!Right out of the box you could tell this was a quality harness.It feels sturdy. The material it's made out lets you know this harness will probably last forever. It took a while to adjust the straps, since they feel thick and are a bit hard to move, but HEY, this is a good thing! It means once those straps are adjusted, you won't be facing any issues with the straps going loose.It isn't the cheapest harness out there, but you get what you pay for. We searched several other harnesses that had similar specs to this one, and this harness gives you more bang for your buck! Others with similar specs were a tad more expensive.The harness seems to be comfortable; dogs don't seem to mind it at all when on walks, does not seem to bother at all, so as far as comfort goes, 5 out of 5.I would recommend this one in a heart beat.

The harnesses appear to be very sturdy. The material looks like it's very durable. The reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is based on the size chart. It's not even close to being accurate.I have 2 dogs, a black lab and a greyhound. The measurements of the black lab put him between a L and XL, so I bought the XL to be safe. The measurements for the greyhound were between S and M, so I bought the M to be safe. Both of the harnesses were way too small for each dog, and I had all the straps loosened as far as they could go. I put the XL on my greyhound and tightened it down, but it's just a tad too big. So, I'm going to have to return both harnesses.I might buy the L for my greyhound, but I'm afraid that it won't fit either. It is a shame because these harnesses are exactly what I was looking for.

I purchased the XL for my female English Mastiff, Resa, who is 180lbs. She was my first foster, rescued at the age of 5.5 from a puppy mill breeding farm. She definitely never had a good human connection in her life and is extremely timid. After working with her for a few weeks, she finally came up to me for her first petting. And as they say, the rest is history, moving from my first foster to my first foster fail.She is still nervous about leaving the house, but this harness allows me to “navigate” her more easily, and comfortably, than a leash with a collar can.The XL fits her, but with her build, if she gains weight I may have to look into extensions for the chest straps. This same size harness was used when I fostered a male English Mastiff, 220lb, and I had to tighten it for him. Pictured is Resa in the grey harness.I purchased a large for the smaller mastiffs I Foster. The one pictured in black is a mastiff mix, 91lb.

Adjustment was a bit of a challenge but it worked out well.

Good for dogs who pull. My plot hound looks tough in this. Huge difference in how he walks in this compared to on the collar. For one he’s no longer choking himself and 2 he doesn’t really pull when this is on. Well made, Fits good, would buy again.

We purchased this “tactical vest” for our 40lb red nose Pit, and within seconds she ripped out of the top clip when on her (during potty break) in back yard. Clean rip like it was Velcro instead of sewn in. We bought it hoping it was durable. Clearly, it is not. Looks good but not safe.
