Yes! I wore this while in the intense sun in Southwest Florida, while my tan level was "New Englander in February". I wore it midday while on the beach and also while fishing. All in bright sun and glare from the water. I wasn't too hot in this and it did a great job protecting my skin

I have an xl and it fits pretty good. I’m a little larger on top of you know what I mean and almost 5’9” so it fits just right. I’m also a good size 14
