ASUS GeForce RTX 3050 6G DUAL OC Gaming Graphics Card

The ASUS GeForce RTX 3050 6G DUAL OC Gaming Graphics Card is a fantastic choice for gamers seeking strong performance without breaking the bank. With its reliable 6GB GDDR6 memory, this card handles popular titles smoothly at 1080p, even with higher settings. The dual-fan cooling system keeps temperatures in check, ensuring efficient and quiet operation, which is a nice touch for those who value a quieter setup. ASUS's build quality shines here, and the OC boost adds a noticeable bump in performance. Overall, it’s a solid, budget-friendly GPU that delivers impressive value and gaming experience.

Terrific Upgrade

A fantastic new video card for my PC it replaced a GT1660TI that was about 4 and 1/2 years old and the performance increase is so much. I’m very pleased with the price as well. Some points of note it’s a much bigger card than the 1660 TI even though it’s still got two fans it runs virtually silently and I’m getting incredible frame rates at 2K resolution. I wouldn’t know what it’s like at 4K because my monitor doesn’t go that high but everything is silky smooth compared to the 1660ti so I would thoroughly recommend as a very good cost upgrade for anybody who is going from something like a 1080 or 1660 TI so 10/10 so far. I’ve registered it on the ASUS website and they gave me a three year warranty so overall I’m very pleased and it’s increased is price now by £15 from when I bought it so yeah all good. Will update this review in a few months time.

Bang for buck

So, I got this as an interim upgrade to my unit along with a Ryzen 9 5950x cpu. It loads up pretty quick, I like the feature of the fans not spinning when the gpu is not in use to reduce power and noise, and even when under load it plays well, and stays cool.. This is a nice little unit that suits as an upgrade until I commit to a big water cooled rig.

Fantastic for AI

Great compatibility with PyTorch. The NVIDIA RTX 3060 delivers solid 1080p and decent 1440p gaming performance with ray tracing. Its VRAM is future-proof, though its raw power lags behind the 3060 Ti. Great for budget-conscious gamers, but struggles with max settings in newer titles. Solid mid-range choice with good efficiency.

No such thing as a bad card just bad pricing

The RTX 4060 Ti offers solid performance in the mid-range segment, delivering impressive ray-tracing capabilities and AI-driven features like DLSS 3. It shines in 1080p and 1440p gaming, providing smooth frame rates and good future-proofing for upcoming titles. The card's efficiency is also notable, offering great power-to-performance ratios, making it a good choice for users looking to build a powerful yet power-efficient system. Additionally, it benefits from Nvidia's comprehensive software suite, including GeForce Experience, for driver updates and optimizations, and has good support for creative workloads like video editing and rendering. However, there are some drawbacks to the RTX 4060 Ti. While it excels at 1080p gaming, it struggles to reach the same performance levels in 4K gaming when compared to higher-end GPUs like the 4070 or 4080, limiting its appeal for users seeking top-tier performance at higher resolutions. The 8GB of VRAM can also feel limiting in some demanding titles, especially as games push the boundaries of memory usage in the coming years. Moreover, the pricing is a bit high for its performance tier, leaving it in an awkward spot where it competes with cards offering more value at a similar or slightly higher price point. Overall, while the RTX 4060 Ti is an excellent option for gamers on a budget who prioritize efficiency and ray tracing, its performance ceiling may leave some users wanting more in certain use cases. You said:Make it seem like a 17 yr old wrote itChatGPT said:The RTX 4060 Ti is a solid mid-range GPU that’s great for gaming at 1080p and 1440p. It runs most games smoothly with high settings and even handles ray tracing pretty well, thanks to Nvidia’s DLSS 3. It’s also pretty power-efficient, so it doesn’t suck up too much juice while still giving great performance. The software that comes with it, like GeForce Experience, makes things easy with automatic updates and optimizations, which is pretty convenient for gamers who just want to play without too much hassle. On the downside, the RTX 4060 Ti isn't the best option for 4K gaming. It can struggle at higher resolutions compared to the more expensive 4070 or 4080 models. The 8GB of VRAM can also be a bit limiting for some newer, demanding games, so it might not hold up as well in the future. Plus, for the price, it feels like you’re getting less performance compared to other cards in a similar range. So while it’s a solid card for most casual gamers, if you're looking for top-tier performance or future-proofing, you might want to look at something more powerful.

Not a 4060, not a 3090, but an awesome bang for buck compomise

So for years the *60 range of Nvidia cards have been a good starting point for gaming if you are on a budget, and the 3060 is no exception. At the time of buying this 12GB variant, the 4060 was being scalped, only came with 8GB RAM and actually cost more than this card than I cared to risk, so decided mid tier last gen was good enough.I was replacing a 1080 for general gaming, PCVR and little else. Needed to hookup to 2 monitors and a TV, with the TV mirroring one of the monitors, to replicate my current setup. As expected none of this was a challenge, other than needing a couple of DP to HDMI adapters for the monitors, and off I went.As of this moment in time, and with the 50 series just around the corner, I have no interest in replacing it yet.Cyberpunk, Fallout 4, Assassins Creed Odyssey, Minecraft, my VR collection, including Fallout 4, Skyrim, Borderlands 2, Half Life Alyx, Resident Evil 7, all perform well with this card on high settings or even ultra. It even playes Crysis. If I had to choose between this and the 4060 8GB OC, for an extra £30, I would still go for this for the extra VRAM.Ultimately, it is dependent on what games you are wanting to play, what your budget is and your performance preference. Do your research, there are plently of videos kicking around comparing these 2.Personally, I would rather play at slightly lower quality if it meant I was not limited by VRAM on future releases, especially in VR, but as of yet, I have not had to sacrifice settings.
