Great for the price
For the price, it's a great coffee pot. It's not super tiny so you can get a few cups out of it. The program option is nice to set it at 430 when I wake up. It's not super fancy, but for the price, it's a great option.

Just a great coffeemaker
Oh this budget friendly coffee maker is perfect. My previous one broke and I was able to get this delivered next day. I’d run to the store in a caffeine panic but the local store only had one style of drip coffee maker that I didn’t want. It’s super easy to program and the coffee stays hot.

Black + Decker Coffee Machine Review – Great Coffee at a Great Price
This coffee machine is a fantastic budget-friendly option for anyone who loves a good cup of coffee. I paired it with Starbucks coffee, and the results were perfect—rich, flavorful, and just how I like it.The smart features are a big plus, making it easy to wake up to fresh coffee every morning. It’s reliable, simple to use, and delivers great quality without breaking the bank. While it’s not the most high-end machine out there, it gets the job done really well. If you want great coffee at an affordable price, this is a solid choice!

Very good value.
AMENDED REVIEWOurs is still working perfectly. Unfortunately you can't find it for $20 any more. I wanted to address some of the negative reviews and offer a suggestion for one type of issue some folks have noted. Some reviews say it is noisy; that's not my experience. I find it makes no more noise than the myriad of previous coffee makers we have owned, of many brands. And as far as I can tell, there is no obnoxious taste to the coffee coming from the plastic used. Some have noted that the paper filter collapses, allowing coffee to overflow around the filter sometimes into the basket and then down into the carafe. This happened once or twice for me. The first thing I noticed was that if the filter paper is in the least bit folded over, the design of the maker will drip water between the basket and the filter paper, resulting in the wet filter folding in on itself. I made sure the filter paper was against the back of basket wall and that problem stopped.Another issue some have experienced is that the basket will not drain adequately and it fills up and over the sides. I have not had that experience; however that is most likely a result of the carafe top not firmly pushing up on the basket release valve that allows the basket to drain into the carafe. I found a goof-proof way around this, for me anyway. I remove the carafe, then install the filter and coffee, add the water and then firmly close the lid. The last thing I do is place the carafe on the heating pad while holding down the lid slightly. If you don't do this and just insert the carafe, the carafe lid will push up on the basket valve but seems at the same time to lift the entire basket slightly, thus not fully opening the valve. You want the valve to open, not lift the basket. So just install the carafe as the last thing you do and put some pressure down on the top as you do this and that will hold the basket in place and the drain valve will be fully open as you insert the carafe - dirt simple solution and so far it works every time; hopefully for others. At $20 it was a tremendous value.ORIGINAL REVIEWI looked at many, more expensive coffee makers and none were without their warts. So I decided to just find the least expensive one that met my needs. This one turned out to be a gem for less than $20 (I paid $19.99). It came in "industrial strength" packaging and as soon as it arrived I tried out all features and functions; everything worked as advertised. The only minor nit is that the carafe lid does not seem removable; you would probably break it attempting to remove it. The top was removable on other carafes I have had, making it easier to clean, but on balance it doesn't matter as everything is easy to clean. Admittedly, this review is right out of the box and we have only two days using it so reliability is an unknown. If that becomes an issue later on, I will amend the review, but for now I feel this is a great value for the price.

A Good Basic Coffee Maker
My last coffee maker finally gave up the ghost and I started looking for a decent coffee maker that wouldn't break the bank. This is what I bought, based on the price and the reviews. It's a good coffee maker. That's all I really need to know. It does its job without fuss. It's programmable, so it has more features than coffee makers that are only a little cheaper. And it will make 12 cups of coffee, which is a plus if you ever have visitors who like coffee or if you drink a lot yourself. It does its job, and it does it well.I have one quibble about this coffee maker, it's the built in 2 hour shut-off, which you apparently don't have any control over (Black & Decker says it's a safety feature). I's annoying. On my weekends I tend to start coffee when I get up, but I sometimes get busy and don't get to it right away. I couldn't tell you how many times I've gone in there to get a cup of coffee only to find out that the warming plate has turned off. Now, it's simple enough just to turn it back on, and I usually get in there before the coffee has gotten too cold. But the simple truth is I would rather be able to make a full pot of coffee that could sit in there for 8 - 10 hours than something I have to babysit, or have to make a couple of cups of coffee at a time. The shut-off "safety feature" is mostly annoying because I have no control over it. I understand Black & Decker probably thought of it as a liability issue (because people love to sue corporations when they themselves have done something stupid), but it does seem like there should be a larger window in which to keep your coffee warm, or least make it something that's variable up to a point. Sure, it makes sense to have the coffee maker shut off at some point, because people can and do forget to turn them off. But whoever set it at 2 hours is clearly someone who doesn't actually drink coffee. lol.Overall, though, I'm very happy with this coffee maker. I'm sure I'll buy another one when this one gives out.

Fast, convenient, reliable
Excellent coffee maker, has all the features you need and brews coffee quickly (within a few minutes). I love the programming feature where you can schedule the brewing, it's very convenient to wake up in the morning for work and have fresh brewed coffee ready to go.
