Great idea, installed easy, pretty sturdy. But lasted 3 days and then had to figure out how to put nozzle connection back. It went back on easy! I installed in less then 30 minutes! Which I had this 30 years ago.

Season 2 and still working. I have another hose reel in the yard and it is a manually rewind. This auto rewind feature is so much nicer. Makes watering a breeze. It was easy to install using their in-ground spike connector. It also has quick connects for attaching the hose. The setup makes it easy to remove for the winter.Overall, this reel has been a reliable and convenient.

This was absolutely amazing! Instructions were easy for assembly. Very sturdy and sits in the grown easily. Retracts nicely and smooth. The quick detachments work really sell. Just a little bit of leaking but not bad at all. Would recommend!

Truly can’t say enough positive things about this. The quick connect; amazing.. no more unscrewing and twisting the hose. The retractable reel; clean, effective, efficient and effortless. The size; perfect, and if you need it to be further than 6’ from the outlet you can always add a regular hose with the quick connects.Truly amazing value, no notes.

It works well easy assembly. At first it seemed like it would be flimsy and may come off the ground when pulling the hose since it’s o my supported by one spike and the reel and hose is heavy, but the once installed it worked well, sturdy enough, no wiggling, no problems. The only thing I don’t like is that when you close the water from the nozzle provided it drips slowly. You have to make a point to make sure it’s tightly closed to avoid drips. It comes with quick multiple plastic quick connects.

High quality product. I had a retractable hose unit in the past that was junk (Not from this manufacturer. It was a different brand.)This unit mounts into the ground so it stays put. My old one rolled on wheels so it would move when trying to retract. This reels up the hose perfectly every time. The mechanism in the old unit would not move side to side smoothly when rewinding. This is made of high quality materials that is sturdy. The other unit was made of cheap flimsy plastic. I used teflon tape when attaching my hose to the quick disconnect to make sure the threads or gasket on my hose would not leak. If I did not, this could be an easy way to blame the disconnects for leaking when it would be the fault of the hose that I used to connect to the unit. (I installed the unit about ten feet away from the hose shut off.). Everything worked perfectly. Not a single leak. The thick solid steel pipe included to twist the unit to drive the stake into the ground worked perfectly and was necessary. The stake that twists into the ground is very large to make sure the unit is secure. It would have been impossible to twist in the stake all the way without it. Ones screwed into the ground it is extremely secure so it does not move when pulling out the house or retracting the hose.

This thing is literally the definition of garbage. The tiny hose that is supposed to carry water restricts water flow so much that you’ll have a hard time watering any respectable garden.Mine started leaking in 4 different places after 3 uses. I should charge Amazon for my time for installing this piece of crap only to dig it up, re-box it and return it to a UPS store.Seriously - stay away from this junk. It’s just not with it.I know some of you don’t believe me, so I’ll say it again. Amazon sells more products that you can imagine. THIS ONE SUCKS BEYOND ALL COMPREHENSION. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY ON THIS PIECE OF GARBAGE! I’m trying to help you so please take my advice.Sadly - some will still buy this crap and even though it shouldn’t, it will bother me because I tried to warn everyone.

I love the look of this hose reel and its ease of use. It was very easy to get it anchored into the ground with the auger bit included. It doesn’t feel like I’m going to pull it out of the ground when I pull the hose out either. It’s on the expensive side, but I think it’s worth it.
