Olde Thompson 13" Liberty Wood Pepper Mill

I have other Old Thompson pepper mills and I’ve used them for many years; they are one of the best and the best for quality and price point. I’d like to add that I very much like Spicy taste and use a large amount of whole pepper corns. Therefore I give my pepper mills a thought work out. This tall pepper mill mills a lot of pepper from very fine to coarse quickly and efficiently. Easy to use and aesthetically pleasing. I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase again for personal use or as a gift.

I bought this one to replace one I had for 20 years . I was more than impressed. It was also cheaper than my original one. It perfectly cracks or grinds the pepper corns to perfection.

I could not be More Pleased with my Purchase! This is precisely what I was looking for and it works as well as I'd hoped for the Price. This Tall/Oversized Grinder looks Spectacular, Towering over the other items on the kitchen counter, and it works Smooth and Efficiently - very little 'Grinding' action required to nicely Grind the peppercorns and Deliver Fresh Ground Pepper as needed. It also did not need a Huge Quantity of Whole Peppercorns to Fill (in fact it took much Less than expected) If there are any reviews (past or present) that are not satisfied with the Quality of this item for the Price then they either received a faulty one or their expectations are Way too high for $22 Delivered! (Of Course there are Much More Expensive versions available that may be superior to this If you have the Need/Desire to have anything more than what is needed for typical Home Use) A+++

This review is for Olde Thompson 17-Inch Hotel Walnut Peppermill.After using this peppermill for several months, I really like it. I can adjust from coarse grind to fine, and either way the mill puts out a lot of pepper for a turn. It is very easy to use. The peppercorns are loaded from the top, which is not difficult, but can take a little bit of time to do. The opening isn’t exactly large. I like the large size, and the ability to have fresh ground pepper any time is great. It looks nice enough to be left out on a counter, or even on a kitchen table for serving. Over all, I recommend this peppermill to any home cook.Pros:Large size.A lot of pepper per handle turn.Coarse or fine grind adjustment.Cons:Opening to load peppercorns could be bigger.

I have used this for three days, and I have to say that this is a huge peppermill that I dreamed for. I love the big size traditional peppermill, so this is perfect for me, and It looks nice in my kitchen as well.For the function, I can adjust from coarse to very fine. When I adjust the peppermill to finest grinding, it gives me very fine grains. It also produce decent amount of pepper for every turn, so I did not have to exercise a lot.For this peppermill, you have to pour in the peppercorns from the hole on the top, so it was not really difficult. However, I do not recommend you to fill it while you are in rushed (like in the middle of you cooking).So far, I am a happy customer with this peppermill's function and design. I just hope it has a good build quality which can last for a long time.

This pepper grinder works very well! My boyfriend wanted a large pepper grinder and this is perfect. It is definitely pretty tall, but not outrageous. It is very sturdy and seems good quality! We have had it fall off the counter and still intact!
