X-Men Origins: Wolverine - Nintendo DS

I love movie games, as much as roleplaying, as much as adventure games! I haven't beat this game yet,but really look forward to trying. I bet you will like this game alot to,as it, like others, follows the movie storie line. No cons on this game either.

the game is pretty good but I thought it could be better I wouldn't buy again because I kid of think it was a waste of my money.

This game was a present for my grandson. He's a tough kid that's tough on everything that he owns. The game still works great.

Great game

My brother bought this game while I was away one day, and when I got back, boy did I get an earful. He was so upset that he wasted his money on this game, that I agreed to watch him play it. The character art when they are speaking on the bottom screen is cartoonish. For example: Wolverine looks like a black-eyed hungover hobo with bad hair. The side scrolling gameplay reminiscent to Mario or Megaman does not do the legendary Wolverine justice, and the mindless constant button mashing with endless enemies that take too long to die was far beyond annoying. As far as the Rage mode was concerned, the bar ran out too fast and the way he jumps off the screen so you can just attack any thing within screen range with the touch pad was lame. Many a weird looking mutant got away using Rage. The animated non-playing scenes were badly programmed; with everyone looking box-ish and distorted. My brother hardly got into the level before I hated it as much as he did. Therefore, if you like button mashing, beat em' up games and don't care about graphics or story lines, (or you're three years old) you should buy this game. Otherwise, if you have a Wii, get the Wii version. It's much better, but that's another review.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine hit the big time consoles with loads of bloody mayhem, while every other version of the game, including this DS version, features some pretty watered down action. That aside though, the DS version of X-Men Origins: Wolverine features some fun elements regardless, even if the end result is a game that feels overly rushed. Playing much like the DS version of Spider-Man: Web of Shadows, Wolverine features some half-decent combat, as well as little extras like finding comic books and unlocking new moves and in-game trophies to boot; most of which all get overshadowed by the fact that a majority of the game is just sloppily put together thanks to some awkward controls. The levels are long, almost to the point of being agonizing, and the game's characters and areas are fairly well animated. All in all, X-Men Origins: Wolverine is a rushed movie tie-in for the DS, but there are some fun elements here to find regardless, and if you own a DS and love Wolverine and/or X-Men, give this game a look.
