Great replacement for paper notepads
Great as a replacement for post its. My husband keeps them by his desk and uses them to jot down notes for work. They erase easy but are not easy to accidentally erase which is great from the perspective of you won't just accidentally erase a note before you are ready. Would buy them again.

Cool but not better than a post it
Despite what the other review says, it’s very simple to reset the sheet. You don’t try to erase it like a pencil. Instead you use the pointer on the end to press the circle at the corner. They Immediately reset. They’re a little difficult to read because the black is so dark. You can use them for many things.

Does not work as advertised
Doesn’t work very well. Has to have a very specialized pen to reset and it broke within the first night. Takes battery is so way more of a pain in the butt than I thought it was gonna be. Also the writing doesn’t look very good. Not very clear and gets smudged easily. Would not buy again, wish I could return.

Note: Needs "Versapen" in order to erase, other "Boogie Board" pens wont work in this case
I write everything down in the moment and often find myself surrounded by a mountain of post-it notes at work. I bought these reusable notes to help me manage my action items more efficiently, limiting me to three tasks before categorizing them.I purchased two sets, hoping the erase feature would work with my "Boogie Board" pen (Black pen) from the "Boogie Board 2.0" (which uses a magnet to clear the screen). However, since the versa notes are paper thin the battery is stored in the pen instead (2x AAAA batteries, which are already installed and accessed from the small screw hidden under the pen clip, giving the pen a satisfying weight). The pen has a spring-loaded electrode that presses to the bull's-eye connector on the note to clear the page.Additionally, it comes with three metal squares with 3M adhesive backing, allowing you to magnetically mount the versa note to your monitor bezel, a bulletin board, etc. (Though because of gravity, they hang down like a diamond shaped and would obscruct part of the screen unless mounted at the bottom bezel)Writing on these notes feels smooth and gives a bit of an "etch-a-sketch" vibe. I found if you heavily shade a section, clear the page, and write in the same area, the lines might bleed a little. However, using the rest of the note and clearing it resolves this issue. I don't see this problem arising during normal use.I expect these notes to last a long time and feel more confident because the pen batteries are easily replaceable (Though, you'll need a small sized Philips like a #000>I've also confirmed the Versapen does write and clear the page on the "Boogie Board 2.0" tablet just not the other way around.Edit: (After a month of use)One disadvantage is because they're thin and stack for storage, you can't simply write on the top pad otherwise you'll transcribe marks on all the pads in the stack. I find they work well for instances where you need to get a thought down -now- to later transfer into a more organized system, but until that time they still end up spread across my desk and at risk of accidental marks (as evident by my cat's autograph and a wandering plate imprint). All in all, I think these still have a place as an emergency note space (especially with vibrant color - I just keep a stack under my keyboard for easy storage and access), but I've preferred my boogie board 2.0 for more serious tasks.

Cool gadget
Super cool little tool that I can’t wait to use at work. EDIT: I’ve been using these at work for a while now, and changed my 4 stars to 5. Mainly the reason being I tried the newer black version and love them! One of my photos shows a black one in use - I adhered it to my scanner at work for temporary notes throughout each day. I would definitely recommend the black as the writing shows up much more clearly than on the colored notes.Pros: They’re adorable, they’re small and easy to store or stick somewhere, they’re super easy to use and erase, they can save a ton of sticky notes, and they’re pretty.Cons: A bit pricy for what they are, the writing is not nearly as bright as advertised (mainly on the colored notes), if you lose the pen there doesn’t seem to be another way to erase, and a replacement pen is another expense.Just don’t over-expect, and they’ll make you happy!

Technically They Work
These do work and it's certainly interesting how they just erase by touching the pen head to the corner, but you can barely read the writing on them. They are also very awkward and don't stack well because of the corner where the magic happens is rigid and thick. A novelty in my opinion and I would not recommend for any real purpose.

You can change the battery
I bought it in 2/2023.Now in 01/2025 , the pen stopped working .One pad is overused and broke. I have 2 more, no problem. The pen needs 2 AAAA batteries. But is not easy to take it out and put it back.I use it for my work daily notes. I love it. I will buy it again.

Ammazing
I just used these for writing down movies that we needed to watch over our break and the writing actually lasted. The only think that can erase these boards are the pen so make sure you get the pen too. Overall amazing.
