What a good selection of colours easy to use . And no sharpening to do .

Just like using normal coloured pencils that you have to sharpen...but you don't need to sharpen them. FANTASTIC! I use to do delicate colouring in my various books to give me some brain space and they are perfect for that. You can absolutely colour in fine details. Any concern I had over not having the sharp edge of a sharpened pencil was quickly put to rest with these as you can easily use the edges of the nib to colour with. Would recommend to adults and children alike. I would also recommend the Crayola 24 Twistable Crayons for larger images where the detail is not as necessary.

No need to sharpen and variety of colours

These are very good colouring pencils, and the variety of colours is great, though lackingAs these use a heavy wax base, don't press down too hard or you will cause the drawn wax to displace off the paper and recolouring the displaced area is bordering impossible.There are a few colours missing that would make this a complete set, but the first one is major: a proper deep black - the box claims that black is included, but it is in fact a dark gray - it's darker than a HB pencil, but is out performed in dark shading by a 2B pencil.As such, I carry a separate black colouring pencil for anything needing to be deep black (the example picture uses a Faber-Castell black colouring pencil), but the rest of the colours are just fine and blend well.The other colours not included is a greater variety of skin tones (there is apricot, and nothing else), and in a similar fashion, brown. It leaves things like skin and trees being a monotone unless you are an expert at blending colours. That said, if you lay down a pencil shading first, and then apply the colour as desired on top of the pencil, the colour then gets a shading tone which can be useful.

Bought these yet again for one reason: the colour is bright and vivid. In all my life I have never come across kids colouring pencils that are this vivid, without having to resort to pastels.You twist the back to make the pencil advance. The front section has a tendency to come loose, but it’s a minor annoyance that the kids can rectify. The leads themselves can break easily, so you may have to buy another box sooner than later.However, the brilliant colour and the “no sharpeners required” makes this a definite winner.I would definitely recommend this to all budding artists

I ordered these for my daughter who loves drawing/colouring cause I thought she would love them.*Update*My daughter loves these, she said the range of colours is really good and great to use so would recommend them.
