Ballpen refill for Papermate pens. Black ink. Medium point. Single refill

The refill is Ideal, My pen is from the 80's so the refill inside it is a smaller one at about 4mm diameter and so is the inside of the pen. As the new refill wouldn't quite fit and I couldn't get an exact size refill I customised the pen to fit the new one. This was easy to do, took just a couple of minutes, inside the pen is a metal ferule that is the narrow part so I ran a 5.5mm drill through it which solved the problem and now the new Schneider 225 refills fit. Very happy now.

These have been used as replacements for the obsolete Papermate beating heart stainless steel pens. We have three of these pens and these refills fit 2 of them.They are 0.2mm thicker than the original refills. It doesn't seem much but it's enough to cause binding when you try to retract the ink / ball point. Others have mentioned they don't fit. As they are not made for the Papermate I felt it unfair to mark it down on the fact they don't fit. Hence the 4 stars as the refills are good but 1 star deducted as they are not cheap.

I’ve had my papermate pen for many years. When I looked at the refills they were similar but not quite the same. I ordered one anyway and needn’t have worried because it fits perfectly.

This is meant to be compatible with Papermate Pens, it is not. I have just received this and although it fits into my pen I cannot screw the pen back up. It seems that the black tip at the top.of the refill is longer than my Papermate refill that has run out so making it too long. The refill cost over £4.00 but to return it to get a refund is going to nearly £3.00. Beware.

I have two stainless steel Papermate ballpoint pens but they are slightly different at the tip (see photo) and this refill only fitted the one with the separate tip. The problem was in the section with the clip. The two sections screw together and the threaded section of the clip part finishes with a shoulder to stop them being screwed too far. However, the shoulder on one was too big, leaving too small a hole for the refill to fit through. A few minutes careful work with a half-round needle file shaved enough off the shoulder for the refill to fit.

i had a papermate pen from around 2010 and the ink finally ran out but i could not find a refill in any store so i checked amazon and sure enough amazon was able to get the refill and it works fine.

I was trying to locate this item for years but for one reason or another I was unable to find it. I have a Papermate "biro" style pen ie. not a fountain pen which my then girlfriend - soon to be my wife - gave me in 1977 and of course I was very fond of it and although I didn't use it daily the ink tube only ran out this year, 2024. With the emergence of Amazon, I managed to get one and was very pleased. Smooth writing, no excess of ink and comfortable to use.

Pa contre je peux maintenant malgré tout me servir du stylo. Ses vraies recharges sont introuvables, celle-ci est un peu trop grosse et n'est donc plus rétractable . Il faudrait usiner la partie renflée de la recharge, mais pour l'instant ça me va bien comme ça
