Check the vid! Love ernie ball and their 9s are sick

The media could not be loaded. Awesome strings.Always used ernie balls. From their 9s, 10s, 11s to now their paradigms.I got a fresh set on before this show in the clip, check it out, sounds decent!FYI that guitar is a budget hartwood semi acoustic hallow body whammy and it's awesome. Check it out.I get some decent use of these and I'm a heavy player too typically and they're hard to break, I can't remember the one I broke actually before restringing is due!Nice warmth, color, tone, durable, resistant, just overall great brand and great strings. And reasonably priced too.

Great value for a market leader

I have Ernie Ball 10-54s on my Epi 60s Standard Les Paul. I generally prefer light to medium strings (I have a Strat with 9-42s and a Casino with 11-49s), but the thicker gauge in the low end give the Les Paul a huge, warm, dark tone when played clean, while the lighter strings in the top end allow for bends. Once you get the hang of the transition between the D and the G, it feels very natural. If I only played fast rock stuff on this guitar I might use lighter strings overall, but I don’t. And I also play bass, so thick strings don’t bother me.Great strings: great tone, durable and not expensive.

Ripping, Versatile Strings.

These are some incredible guitar strings. They’re all of a consistent and diverse array of strength for both down tunings and regular tunings. Sound really good on my six string SG model. Very clean and slick.

Genuine.

Pretty much industry standard. Genuine strings.

Good, genuine strings

Genuine Ernie Ball Strings. Easy to install. String quality is good. Nothing bad to say about these strings. They're very fairly priced so I usually stock up on a couple and can easily swap them out without much stress.

The best of the best for shredders and heartbreakers

I’ve been using Ernie balls for years. Can’t get a better string and I love the sound when they are fresh. The first week using these on a strat always feels awesome!I use them on everything 10s on my les Paul9s on some strats. And even 8s and 7sGot some 13s on an archtop epiphone. They always sound great. Crisp and clear. Can’t fault Ernie balls at all. I’ve never broken one. People say they do and I’m like whaaaaaa? I play loads of bends in my style of playing and they never break. And when they do it’s alway at the bridge or the nut which means it’s your guitar…I recommend 9s to anyone playing a strat. They are just right for all types of strat style music… funk to hard rock.If you’ve got a les Paul however I recommend 10s to keep the tension up. But if you’re feel adventurous like young billy gibbons get yourself some 7s they are super wild. Especially for gentlemen and ladies who like to bend supremely.Ernie ball pretty much invented wound guitar strings. The other brands are similar. And some people talk about output changes from difrent alloys in the string but slinky’s have always been excellent. If they don’t have enough output for yiu???? Get a new setup or try the Colbalts.Best value and best guitar string there is. With every gauge option under the sun.ROCK ONNNN YEAAAAAAHHH!!!!

Mighty Slinky 8.5 set - tried out of curiosity, now a repeat order.

Have been playing recreationally for 35 years. Initially it was always Enie Ball Super Slinky 9s, then the heavier guages came in vogue, I tried 10s, 11s, 12s?, mixed sets, various brands, but I had mixed feelings about them for various reasons. Mindful of putting off arthritic issues/RSI and looking to make life easier, I tried these Mighty Slinky 8.5s. Can't be happier, these work brilliantly on my 2003 Epiphone SG, which has a fixed bridge. I don't tend to do huge amounts of big string bends, and there's no tremelo. It seems to sound good and play well, with the bonus that nothing seems overly stressed including my fingers, but also the standard string grooves in the nut. For me string breakages using these 8.5s are fairly rare, so not always an occurrence between changes, which are probably six months to a year apart, unless a break happens. Breakage rate for me seems broadly, very much like any of the other guage/sets I have tried (pretty low?). These Ernie Ball strings always seem well priced, good quality, and nicely presented. Totally happy with them, over and over again.

The Only Strings I’ll Ever Use!

I’ve been using Ernie Ball strings for years, and they never disappoint! The tone is incredible—bright, punchy, and full of life. Whether I’m playing clean or distorted, these strings deliver consistent performance every time. The feel is smooth and comfortable, making bends and fast fretting effortless. They hold tuning well, even with heavy playing, and last longer than most other brands I’ve tried. Changing strings is also a breeze with the neatly packaged sets.If you want reliable, high-quality strings that bring out the best in your electric guitar, look no further than Ernie Ball. They’ve been my go-to for years, and I can’t imagine switching to anything else. Highly recommend!
