I suffered from urinary tract infections on a regular basis between the ages of eighteen and twenty (they used to call it honeymoon cystitis!) then everything largely settled down for thirty five years. I add a half pint of water to a carton, boil them for a few minutes and strain the stewed fruit to eat later with icecream. Not too much icecream, though, as sugar is bad for UTIs. So is caffeine, alcohol and all the other things I love. Final thoughts - avoid scented bubble baths, coloured toilet paper, scented pantliners etc and wear 100% cotton underwear. Let your body breathe whenever possible (wear a nightdress rather than pyjamas, go commando under a skirt when you're at home) and you'll have fewer vaginal irritations.

Normally I use D-mannose for me and my young children for any type of urine infection / cystitis.. i have used it for years. I didn't realise that this particular product came in capsules which means I can't easily use it for my children. For adults this is a great product. If you want to use it for your children get a different type with no capsule.

These supplements arrived the next day. The lid was secured. I had a UTI and I was nearly finished with my 2nd lot of antibiotics and still in severe pain. I started to take the D-Mannose on Friday and by Tuesday I had hardly any pain at all. I knew the antibiotics were not clearing the UTI but was amazed how quickly these worked. Completely misleading and inaccurate product description. The capsules are ONLY 500 MG EACH. I read the product description SO carefully to see if these capsules were good value for money. All it says is that there are 90 capsules, and "1500mg per serve". How can you sell a product without stating the strength of a tablet??? This should be against medical safety regulations. Even on the pack itself, it does NOT say how much is in a tablet. You need to work it out for yourself as there are only 30 servings per pack, despite there being 90 tablets (see photo). So this product is 3x more expensive than I thought, and WAY more expensive than other brands.

Mum's Doctor suggested Mannose to help with repetitive urinary issues, and that checking Amazon would be a good way to source this supplement.We chose the D-Mannose product as it has a strong concentration that means only one tablet per day is needed. After using D-Mannose for several months, we are every happy with the results. I haven't really been taking these long enough to give an informed report. My symptoms have lessened slightly, but need to take the capsules for a least six weeks before I expect to see really noticeable results
