I enjoyed playing love letters original and this for me is even better. It helps if you like star wars and know some of the characters but you could get used to without that. I like the fact it has several end goals that means replayability is high. It can be popped in your bag for trips and played in one round for a quick game or multiple rounds if you have time. I would suggest it needs a table or other flat surface to play, as the played and discarded cards need to be face up in front of you, that's not easy to do on your knee as the cards could slip off. A chair between two players is fine tho, and if only playing 1 round you wouldn't need the tokens out. Illustrations on the cards are lovely and the quality is good too. I personally put them in card sleeves to keep them nice out and about but they don't need it, tho I wouldn't want to test if they were waterproof or not. The main aim of the game is same as love letters original. Last man standing or end with the highest number card. But this version has the option of changing to one of 3 other goals and mixing it up makes it more fun. May take a couple of games to remember what the character abilities are but there's a guide card to keep on hand to remind you. Great game.

We played this game on our family holiday (Adult kids) almost for 3 weeks solid. At first it’s easy and fun but the more you play the more you end up strategising! Cards are pretty, it’s well made and a lot of fun.

I recently purchased Love Letter and it's been a great game to take with me on the go. The compact size and quick gameplay make it easy to fit in a pocket or bag and play a round or two whenever I have some downtime. The artwork is also very appealing and the gameplay is simple but engaging.Pros: compact and simple to play, with good artworkCons: quite short sometimes

I have nothing bad to say about either the cards or the felt pouch they come with, my only grip is the original plastic packaging the product comes in seems to have a glue fault which means it arrives half off, I say this as I believed only the first one I ordered had this issues so ordered a new one however the second one arrived with the exact same issue. I had assumed it was just a returned product but for two seperate ones to have the packaging hanging off in the exact same place seems unlikely. Overall wouldn't be an issue however this is going to be a present so I'm just going to have to glue it back together myself!

Amazon has been recommending me this game for the past 2 or 3 years and I had been ignoring the recommendation. I bought the electronic version for Android (it was much cheaper) and discovered what I had been missing. My main reason for ignoring the recommendation was because there are so few cards in the deck and I thought it would result in a game with little depth. I was wrong. This is a great game and easy to learn. Absolutely love it!!

Played this at a friend's house and loved it so much got our own set.Easy to pick up, and the more you play the better you get at tactics.Easy small sized pocket game, good for travelling. Good quality and comes in a pouch to keep the bits safe

I recommend this card game. We are travelling and even bring this out when we're sitting in a cafe waiting for food. It's lots of fun for two people and even more fun with four. Get it!!!

First time playing was with my partner. Was dreadful for 2. You need at least 4 people for this to be a good game. 6 is better
