Brings back memories of my childhood and mum cooking crinkle cut chips for us .I don't have straight cut chips any more since getting these. My chips always come out crisp on outside and fluffy inside and take less time to cook. I oven cook them tossed in a bit of oil. I haven't tried any other veg yet but am going to try with carrots.these are easy to use and clean and much better at cutting than i remember the old one we had years ago with a straight up handle. i like the handle over the top as I have arthritis and this makes it easier to apply even pressure.Just one tiny negative, as someone else has noted, the dye comes out of the handle when they are washed but as I had red all reviews I was prepared for this and I don't use a tea-towel to dry it instead I let it drain on my plate rack so haven't had stained tea-towels or dishcloths. And I don't leave on a surface that will stain when they are wet. So if you bear this in mind then I think you will be happy if you buy these.

I've always loved crinkle cut chips and wanted to make my own, this product has enabled me to and so much more. If you have small children, this can be a great way to make the healthy things like cucumber or carrots look more cool/interesting. I wish i had bought these years ago, they really are cool.It's a good size to hold, the blade is strong and doesn't flex at all, giving you a very positive and safe feeling when cutting, even on large potatoes. I would pass on a few tips though to help you cut great regular chips:1) Use the cutter to flatten one side (just take a thin slice of one side) and then put this side down on your chopping board to give a solid flat surface to push against2) If you want uniform rectangular chips then you will need to slice off the sides of the potato on each side, but don't waste these, they make fantastic scallop like chips which are a joy to eat also!3) Try and get your chips to be very similar in width so they all cook at the same time4) Peel less potatoes than you think, you always peel too many!Good luck.

I use this product for making crinkle cut chips. Slices through large potatoes quite easily. Very sturdy and the blade does not bend like some cheaper ones.

This is a great item, no it doesn’t feel like a premium product. But it gets the job done well and is reasonably priced.

These are really strong sharp cutters. I am impressed with how much easier it is to cut squash instead of using a knife.

Just brilliant at cutting, better than a knife !!

I bought these to cut my 6 month old sons food whilst he is learning about different textures. The crinkles are deep enough for him to hold food comfortably and certainly can make cucumber and potatoes look more interesting. The cutter is very sturdy, solid and can cut through a lot of things easily. There is no flex in the construction so nothing bends when you use it even with more stodgy things like sweet potatoes and cheese. You are limited by the handle in terms of how far you can cut through something but I haven't found anything that it can't yet to be honest. It's nice to include a second one but to be honest I didn't need it and would have been happy with one.Cleaning is relatively straight forward - I wash mine by hand in the sink when I'm done. There aren't really any gaps in the construction for bits of food to get in so it makes cleaning easy.My only point of criticism would be that when cutting, your hand covers the handle which can obscure your view slightly. It's not a deal breaker but if you are after even cuts then you just need to adjust your view slightly.

To be absolutely honest not worth the money, reason the blade is far 2 flimsy yes you get 2 for a tenner but it’s a con because they are not worth £5 each yes I’m the mug. But I bought 3 different ones at different prices the others are all quality smaller in width but very sharp and very sturdy kept the best gave others to daughters. Not to say it doesn’t work because it does but I’m rather fussy on quality think it’s because I’m in building trade for last 40 years so tools I’m an expert on.
