This fits on our steam deck with the case on. The case is the maximum that was recommended in the product description (I believe 10 mm) and it is a little bit snug but it works well.

I'm a filmmaker and journalist everyone and I needed this type of adapter for a few reasons.1) Audio2) SSD3) Power Delivery (PD)There are too many of these adapters on Amazon making the customer experience confusing on which one is the right one. This is the right product for you and me. I've just ordered two more for a big project on a mobile film RIG. So with the images, I am providing proof that this does work. keep in mind that you made one to also use this for gaming devices as well as took notice in Starbucks using a steam deck, and let the user borrow the adapter and then he asked me where did you get this. So there is a need and a large need for an adapter like this.When it came to using the SSD for data transfers, the performance was amazing, and always fast to transfer files to the computer from a smartphone, etc.But for me this is useful for everything type-C and for building film rigs.I keep you updated on my progress as I've just talked about making another purchase for two more today. They are worth the price.

Nice parts, but they I cannot use a case with these coz they are a little too tight
