You have got to have enough of the product from the beginning
A bath tub.

Easy to use
This kit makes it easy to refinish an old tub. I'm not sure how durable this is in the long run, but I should find out and when I do I'll update my review.

Easy with thorough prep!
The reviews on Amazon were priceless: I read them all. Also, I watched several YouTube videos - both of the official product website and of DIYers. My prep: I used my rotary sander and sanded the entire surface of the inside of the tub with 220 grit sandpaper. Then I scoured it with the Lysol toilet cleaner. It's blue and mint scented ... oddity. Then I let it dry and sanded and scoured again. What would I do differently? Not too much. (a) If doing time lapse like I did, I would have another method of using a timer... so as to not interrupt the time lapse.(b) I would ask the Company if I was supposed to use the entire bucket of product. I had some leftover. Was I supposed to? Unknown...(c) I would not wear socks and no shoes... What did I do right?PRO TIP: Ice your beer down in the morning: you'll be glad.(a) My kit didn't come with a "french fry scooper" to scoop and repour product as it ran down. I bought a set of 3 sizes of plastic putty knives as recommended by others. Brilliant.(a.1) I brought a plastic cup to use for pouring the product down the edges so I didn't have to wrangle that whole huge bucket. I was glad I did.(b) I had duplicate layers of tarps so that as they got super goopy I could fold them back and have a fresh one. That saved my socks longer...(c) I put a space heater in the bathroom overnight and closed the door, in addition to cranking up the house heat.(d) I warmed up the bucket and bottle of the product for a half day using my Hot Logic and my Jackery. Obviously other methods will work, lol, that's just what I came up with here. You can probably just set them both out in the sun.(e) I bought an entire box of latex gloves and tossed and donned a new pair as needed. That was both good - less mess - and bad - sweaty hands make putting on gloves quite difficult. Ultimately I probably used 5-6 pair. (f) The house I was working in was from the 19-teens and the bathtub didn't have shut off valves so I couldn't remove the spout and handles. Momentary panic! But - taping them worked fine. (I searched in the basement for a shutoff... did not exist.)(g) My kit did come with a foam roller and handle - I guess some kits do not... at any rate, I brought an entra foam roller that I had at home; I could have gotten by without it.(h) I had a bottle of rubbing alcohol and a rag on hand - it easily removes product from the floor and hands.(i) Oh! The bathtub drain - ! This was a topic of MANY reviews. I was able to remove the metal cover. Then I lined it with painters tape - facing out, so it would adhere to the perimeter of the drain. Then I stuffed a rag inside the drain to support the tape. Then I covered the portion of the rag that was sticking up with tape. It worked well! And when it was time to remove it, the whole thing pulled out as one piece.Bonus:I had enough product leftover to roll product onto the exterior of the tub on one long side and as far as I could reach around the ends. (My work space was ridiculously tight. Someone someday might be cranky that I only did a portion of the exterior but if they are deploying some type of mechanical hoist to remove this tub, ha ha, they are spending enough that they won't care! The downside is that I didn't expect to have product remaining for that, and so I hadn't prepped the surface. I did it anyway because the exterior looked TERRIBLE and it's a rental space that my nephew owns. Anyway, moral of THAT story is to prep the outside if you think you want to use it on the outside. But now that I think about it... I probably wouldn't have had enough product to do the entire exterior. Nevermind! LOLIn Conclusion:I definitely recommend this product and can say as an experienced DIYer (although my first time doing THIS) that I found it easy. Tedious, but easy and well worth it The product has less odor than a bucket of paint, in my opinion; some people thought it stunk. I didn't.
