Desert Soldiering: The Gulf in the Sixties

An enjoyable collection of stories and descriptions of life as a British army officer in the middle east and Kenya, in a time so different from now. Hard to believe that Doha was a small and undeveloped place while Dubai was a fishing port of single story buildings! Full disclosure, I am related (the name gives it away!) but I think this book would particularly interest any former or currently serving military personnel that have spent time in the middle east, and a wider audience of people interested the the history of the region.
