Excellent and very Innovative EDC Pocket Light

Nitecore EDC33 4000 lumen rechargeable pocket EDC Flashlight• This is a very compact, innovative, versatile, and powerful EDC flashlight• Approximately 1" diameter x 4.5" long, 4.5 oz weight• USB-C rechargeable 4000 mah built in cell with 2 hour recharge time• NiteLab UHi 20 MAX LED featuring up to:• 4000 lumens light• 54,500 cd intensity (extremely high intensity for its size)• 492 yards throw• Modes (all controlled with single tail cap switch)• Search - 1700lm Spotlight (momentary using half press) - moderately hot, moderately quickly• Lumen Shield - 4000lm floodlight (momentary using full press) - very hot very quickly• Click ON/OFF with half press to cycle through brightness modes, remembers last brightness§ Ultralow 5 lumens 63 hours§ Low 70 lumens 31 hours§ Mid 300 lumens 6 hours 58 minutes§ High 1200 lumens 2 hours 31 minutes• Separate sliding lockout switch for§ Full lockout - can't turn on while locked out§ Half Lockout - can only use momentary Search and Lumen Shield modes while locked• IP68 dust and water resistance, 2 meter impact resistance, 3 year warranty• Includes paracord Lanyard with carabiner and USB-A to USB-C charging cable• Grippy, aggressive, knurling on the body and strong pocket clip (this combination may be rough on your clothes, they call it deep carry but it isn't)• Its combination of brightness, intensity, beam diameter, and the ability to select these quickly using in single tail cap switch, and a one button half/full lockout make it a very compelling and unique multipurpose pocket flashlight. Its surpplanted my Nitecore EDC27 and Olight Warrior 3 Mini as my most frequent daily carry flashlight. Great job Nitecore.• A few things that may bother some include no moonlight mode, no strobe mode, and a non user replaceable battery but for me its strengths outweigh these potential issues.

This EDC light rocks!

I probably have half a dozen EDC 'tactical' lights, and this one is the best of them all. I really like the interface, and when it's on max power the output is phenomenal! There's a switch that you can actuate that when engaged prevents you from accidentally turning the light on (like when it's in your pocket) and discharging all of the power. The clip is large and sturdy. The way in which they protect the USB C port from dirt and debris is exceptional; it's not just a rubber plug that gets worn out or torn off. You can stand it on end, either way. It's quite small and very rugged. Definitely the light I want to be carrying in an emergency. My only gripe is that the battery is sealed inside the unit and you can't replace it; so if you run the battery down you need to re-charge the flashlight before you can use it again, as opposed to just swapping out another battery. I guess I can use that as an excuse to purchase a back up! It's still a 5 star light however, and I'd definitely buy another one for myself or as a gift.

It's bright

It is brighter than most other flashlights that claim 10k lumens +. I gave it 4 stars because the front end gets hot which is to be expected as it's working it's tail off.... but it gets REALLY hot after a while! I also am not fond of the "click quick" down to turn on. I eventually got used to it but I still have trouble getting on and off but overall it's a great small flashlight. I would def not buy the 20 dollar ones ever again, just spend the $ and buy this one.

It's a very well made flashlight, incredible brightness.

It does what it says. It's well made, extremely bright, and seems like the battery is a good quality after a couple months of ownership. Button touch and pressure feedback aren't bad by any means, but it's could be better. Overall it's a pretty good flashlight and at the price a no brainer.

Its bright, but the on/off button is finicky.

This little light is bright. Really bright. More flashlight than most will ever need in a remarkably compact package. It will not disappoint someone looking for lumens to carry just about anywhere. Full lumens will get very hot in 8-10 seconds (because, physics) and the user interface is only ok. You need to have just the right touch to simply turn it on and off. If you press the on/off button too long or not long enough, you just blast full brightness and it shuts off upon release. Its annoying that you have to be so precise for basic operation. Get it right and it works wonderfully. The settings are easy to manipulate from there. There may be a way to lock out the "search" function causing this, IDK.

So far seems good. Can only compare to the older mh20 model.

I have been using a nitecore mh20 for 7 years every day. It has been one of the best purchases I have ever made and hundreds of people have asked me about it. About a year ago the button stopped working to turn it off so had to turn battery compartment to turn it off. Recently the button started working intermittently to turn on so it was time to get something new. Unfortunately nitecore no longer makes the mh20, which brings me to the edc33. The edc is slightly longer but a bit narrower. On high the center beam appears slightly dimmer and a smaller than the mh20. I would say the 1000 lumen turbo mode on the mh20 is more comparable to the 1700 lumen mode on the edc33 as seen in the pics. The mh20 would get hot, especially in summer and in attics, after 5-10 minutes of use on the highest setting. The edc on the other hand seems to get warm in about 1 minute on high mode which hopefully will not render it useless in warmer times. Personally I also preferred the removable battery as I could always have one on the charger to grab each morning. Will update if any problems arise with more use. So far I like it and will certainly keep it even if I end up going another route for daily work use.
