Lucaffe' Classic 150 Espresso Pods

I used to drink Starbuck Espresso pods until the company decided to discontinued the products. Instead of getting a new Starbuck espresso machine ( Verismo) I gave it a chance to try out difference espresso pods that are currently in the markets. And the Lucaffe Classis pods is just exactly what I was searching for, if not better. Not only the price (per pod) is cheaper compared to Starbuck Verismo pods but the after taste is less robust and the flavor is more smoother than the Starbuck espresso pods. I can always smell the freshness and aroma every time I opened the package along with high prevalence of the intensity of its coffee and plenty of crema on the top after it has been brewed. It's thoroughly enjoyable to drink it every morning. I'd recommend this products to anyone who used to love Starbuck espresso pods--like me--- but wanted to maintained same quality and refused to pay a stiffer prices from Starbuck.

I've become addicted to these espresso pods. I have 2 every morning. It's a wonderful way to start the day. Always loads of creme and a taste that I love.I'm updating this to say that after using this product for years now, my opinion has not changed. A "long pull" on this pod, is one of my favorite ways to start the day! It's great!It's rare that I find a coffee house that can match this product. Extremely rare that I can find one that can exceed the results that I get at home!Another update, still years later... I keep trying other pods, as there always is something better... not yet... will try another sampler this week; but a long pull on the Classic with wonderful creme on top is hard to beat.... only the Lucaffe Decaf 100% Arabica competes with the classic. When I need less caffeine, I pull out these decaf pods... again great taste, does a great long pull, and wonderful creme..

First, let me state I'm not a little finger-in-the-air espresso drinker. I just truly enjoy a shot or two of espresso when friends come over. Other times I drink French Roast coffee. I've tried grinding by own beans, tamping properly, ensuring the espresso machine is working properly and I've honestly made some very good espresso. But, it's a lot of work! I've tried several different pods from different manufacturers. These Lucaffe' pods produce a very good espresso (taste, crema, hardiness of flavor) and for the price are very well suited for my needs. Each pod is individually foil sealed (seems simple but I bought a can of pods once and when the can was opened, all the pods were inside unwrapped. We all know coffee doesn't store well). I will certainly consider another purchase when my supply dwindles. Very good taste and a high level of convenience.

I had this coffee from some where else and it tasted better and i could use the pod multiple times since i like mine light but i bought it here and nothing like the one i had before i dont know if i had a bigger pod or what

I really like this particular blend of espresso. It is sweet, full bodied and produces nice crema in my Saeco Via Venezia.They also seem to have the right amount of coffee in the pod so they don't have too much back pressure or too little resistance. I've bought other pod brands that had one fault or the other.I've bought Lucaffe Classic four or more times in the last four years and the product has been consistent and I've had no defective pods at all.Obviously, I will buy it again as long as it remains a good value balance of quality vs price.

A decent coffee, but the Arabica blend is worth the extra $10 per 150 servings. A tad too tame for my tastes.

Didn’t buy before because of the weird logo, but after trying other ese pods brands , I decided to try after reading other people experiences. It’s preety good! Doesn’t lack flavor at all !Doesn’t come tamped like other brands! But you can moist them a little under running water and tamping again on the portafilter ! It Improves the flow and the coffee taste even better.

I have been ordering and enjoying Lucaffe Classic Espresso Pods for the last 3 years. I received my last refill order yesterday and it was a big letdown. Everything else being equal: same Gaggia classic, same pod size, etc… a double espresso pours in 4-5 seconds (instead of the expected 25-30 s.) and you are left with dirty water in your cup. I repeated the experiment 3 times making sure the pods will form a good seal with the filter basket…. same result. I finally reach out to one of the remaining pods from the previous box of Lucaffe Classic: same size pod, but result is a great espresso shot. I have to conclude that the batch of pods received is defective, with coffee ground too coarsely…. big letdown! (Lotto/scad: GCA6 CL 20 03 21)I really hope the seller Espressotiamo is reading this and will make it right since I cannot return the defective pods!____________________Update: I contacted the seller and got a super quick answer. Roberto suggested to try loosening the grounds in the pod and this solved the problem. Back to really good espresso! Thanks
