Accurate Description
Sized as described and labeled, and seems to be as advertised otherwise. Item is not a true 4” as it clearly states in the description so definitely measure your air handler filter frame and don’t rely on another manufacturer’s filter size. I ordered this knowing the dimensions and hoped it would fit my Lennox, but it did not. I had been using 3M Filtrete, 20x20x4 (which is actually closer to 4.25 +/-) and it was a tight fit. I hoped with the Dakota brand being slightly smaller it would fit, but it was too small. So, I feel like Goldilocks .... Not finding one that was “just right” I opted to just use a 1” filter and stop all the aggravation. Anyway, this filter seems like a good one so I gave it four stars, deducting one for price.

Don't assume all filters are correct fit.
This product was difficult for me to install, so a.c. repairman did it. He stated he had to force it in. I purchased 2 others filters prior that absolutely didn't fit at all, spending over $100.00 that is down the drain. I think if you buy a filter with the correct dimensions that it should fit that space, not 3/4" less. Very frustrating as a consumer. I will make sure I have a new filter in hand when a.c. man comes in 6 mos for regular maintenance.

I’ve ordered other 20x20x4 A/C filters that did not fit my Carrier unit. But TopTech slid in easily.
I like it. It is an air filter for my Carrier central air conditioner.

This one fits perfectly!
We recently bought a different brand of air filter that was less expensive and supposedly measured 20" x 20" x 4" so, we "assumed" that it would fit. Unfortunately, it didn't fit because once we measured it we found out that it measured 20" x 20" x 4 1/2". So, we returned the one that didn't fit and ordered the brand that we had purchased in the past (Top Tech) and it fits perfectly! It's a little more expensive but worth it since it fits!
