Smart home just got smarter
Ok there a few product that can be considered game changers. This is one of them. My house is a very smart house with lot of Eco's and dots. When I bought my home. We want one with a lot of windows. So I spent 10 years ago a thousand dollars in 3 inch blinds. Now that these blinds are aged the opening and closing mechanism on most are breaking. Now that smart tech is available. I wanted to switch to smart roller shades, but found the cost of new shades that work with Alexa are EXPENSIVE. The cost to replace all the windows in just a few areas wound be unreasonable.MySmartblinds was the answer they used my existing blinds swapped out the guts and now automated my blinds into the modern smart home. It took me a few minutes to do it and I had them up and running fast. The app is easy to use. The seller has a LOT of youtube videos and is quick to help if you message them. You can set programs open and close times or wait for it, YES ask Alexa to open or close them. Living in Las Vegas the summers are hot. The blinds open in the morning to let in the morning sun light and tilt 45 degress to block the afternoon sun. They close at sunset for privacy. My teens hate these things because on school days. They open up nice and bright and their Dots scream a rooster crowing for the alarm. I even removed the original turning rod so they cant adjust it manually.

Only connects to 2.4 ghz network and does nothing else besides having Alexa open/close your blinds.
Horrible product. Spent 4 days talking to customer support trying to get this bridge to connect to my WiFi. After 4 days of none of their solutions working, they told me it was my routers fault. They said it only connects to 2.4ghz. I have the Orbi system. All my other devices connect to the correct channel, but not this thing. I had to go out and buy a WiFi extender/access point which was another $35 just so this junk could connect to a 2.4 ghz network. Way to expensive just to have Alexa open the blinds. You have to say “Alexa, tell my smart blinds to open living room”. You can’t just say “Alexa, open living room blinds”. There isn’t any other functionality to this bridge. It dosent work with IFTTT, you can’t add them to any routines or scenes within Alexa. So all it’s good for is having Alexa open/close them with your voice. Will be returning this thing. I would not recommend this product to anyone.

Doesn't do much for the money. Doesn't connect to IFTTT. Marginal quality.
The first one that arrived refused to pair. Sent it back, and the replacement worked. If yours doesn't pair within a few seconds, & you're close to the blinds & have an okay wifi signal, it's probably defective. Don't bother with their tech support, just replace it via Amazon. This thing does exactly what it says, but for what it costs, it should do a lot more. Your can say "Alexa, tell mysmartblinds to open/close the <room name>." (or "open all") and it does that. It's binary. Fully open and fully closed are the only options. That's an infuriating mouthful of words for not much capability, and it doesn't work with IFTTT, so you can't create a routine to simplify it.I'm keeping the thing because the one thing it does do (open or close my blinds if I don't happen to have my phone on me) is useful, but I'd be happier if this thing costs $20 if that's all it does. Given the cost of these systems, this hub should be packaged with the system.

It works but it’s far from “smart”
It works, but it’s not really smart. It opens and closes the blinds via Alexa voice control, but that is it. It won’t adjust the blinds to take the glare off the TV. It’s also not compatible with ST or any other smart home platform which really limits what you could do with them. They say it’s coming, but they have been saying that for a long time.I do have to say that when I was down with the stomach bug, it was really nice to be able to close the blinds without having to get up or open my eyes!

Works well, actually. But has a few weaknesses.
I have 5 MySmartBlind kits installed, right now, in extreme reaches of my 2300 sq ft home... and the hub is (just) able to reach ALL of them. Frankly, I wasn’t expected to find a hub-location that would reach them all. It was easy to set up, reliably talks to all blinds, and is responding to the Alexa “skill” with no trouble. I have three complaints: 1) “Alexa, tell MySmartBlinds to open the bedroom blinds” is quite a mouthful. 2) The Alexa skill will “open” or “close” only... no percentages. 3) No HomeKit integration.

Works Great
Installed very easily. Setup was simple and smooth through the app. Integrated with Alexa without issue.

Will not connect!! Beware. Do not purchase
Purchase 1 a year ago. It would not connect to network tried six times. Second one purchased recently connected instantly to network But would not be discovered by Alexa. Deprogramed in reprogrammed several times no luck. Other than that the smart blinds themselves work great. Just not the bridge. Talk to tech-support multiple times. They have no idea. I think like a lot of tech supports they’re just trying to burn you out so you give up.

Very poor connectivity
After spending about 3 hours trying to get the bridge to connect, I finally got it. Then I tried to make the Google Home connection and that wouldn't work. Kept saying account link failed. Finally that worked and I learned the bad news. It's using Google Voice Match to connect an account, which means only the account owner can run voice commands. This has been such a waste of money.I gave it two stars, because if the technology worked, it would be a good system. However for $160 plus another $90, you'd expect better quality tech.
