This is a workhorse of a vacuum. I purchased this a few months ago I started a big renovation and my old one was not keeping up. This has been used for major demo with lots of crushed tile and plaster dust and rocks. It works great and holds a ton of debris. Using it now for sheetrock and lots ond lots of dust. I highly recommend it.

Much quieter than i thought. I was expecting the ear piercing screaming shop vac ive grown up with. Works well. Only gripe would be one button snap wont stay buttoned for the storage pouch but thats reaching for a complaint.

I'm not sure I used this once already but I did. After the superbowel party ( small party) I vacumed again.."ARE YOU KIDDING:!!?? The dirt and cat hair that came up!!. I am tired of house vacs that really don't clean. I bought this 12 gal, 5.5 hp wet/dry vac. I just cleaned twodays ago when the shop vac arrived. I'm 76, disabled, have a hair shedding cat and a small one bed room apt. I really thought the place was reasonable clean.."WRONG!! . Just look at what it picked up and i vacummed just two days ago....this vac is so strong it almost couldsuck off the wall paint. I did my small deckwith it. Leaves and dirt from the trees andwind. The hose is a bit stiff but not a realproblem. It pulls easily across the carpet. Nottoo loud, and works great!. I wish I had donethis earlier instead of buying a house vac. Ithas a three year warranty. It's a good deal and Iwould buy it again in a second.I've had this vac a couple of months now and I am never disappointed in how much hair and dirt it takes up..this vac is a must if you have cats or dogs or even messy birds...I clean it after and store the hose in the bucket.. saves me room in my small place...great deal!!!!

Decent vac. It does what it is supposed to do. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars is because of the ridiculous storage pouch that Dewalt thinks is useful for storing vac attachments. It appears to be a cost saving measure instead of designing a place for each attachment to to attach on the vac itself.

Honest review here:I’m very impressed with this 12 gallon DeWalt shop vac. It is very well made unlike many other shop vac’s out there. I owned both a craftsman and Stealth. Both of those don’t compare with this one. I returned the Stealth last week and gave my Craftsman away. The craftsman is definitely not made well anymore! At least DeWalt kept the same quality for 50 years unlike the other brands!This unit is very nice. It is medium to heavy at 25 lbs but with the wheels on it, it is very lite to roll around. The build quality is very good. The hose is very big and strong at 7 feet long. The HEPA filter is very large with good quality. The wheels are very sturdy and strong. They swivel 360 degrees without any issues at all even with 12 gallons of water in it. The wheels are made very well and will not break or wear out. The attachments are also made very well. They fit perfectly on the hose and extension tubes. What I like the most about this shop vac is that when you attach the extension tubes and attachment you hear no air sounds leaking in. All other shop vac’s have an air leaking problem.The motor is exactly 5.5 HP Peak. Others list their’s at 5.5 HP peak but in fact they are not that high. You are lucky to get 4.5 HP from them. The motor is not loud at all. I added a diffuser to my shop vac which cuts down on the noise and air exhaust air flow. This really helps. See pictures!The attachment bag/basket is awesome!! It holds everything plus the 2 extra attachments that I bought in addition to what comes with this shop vac.The hose strap is simply the best. I secure the hose tightly to the machine.The power cord wrap around the handle was genius. Everything about this shop vac is A+++++++ in my book.I highly recommend this to anyone! Must buy!!!I got a great deal on it as Amazon priced this as 30 day lowest price. They beat all the big box stores pricing.I hope my review helps your decision in what shop vac to buy. This 12 gallon shop vac could suck the chrome off a trailer hitch! Nah, just joking, but it is a powerful vac and perfect for keeping my garage clean. It’s easy to use and it’s a great value for the money. It’s heavy duty and can handle the big jobs. I’m glad that I bought it.
