Wow! VERY nice product!
I admit, I was very skeptical of this lamp, being that it was an LED instrument. I wanted something that would consume less power than my traditional par 36 filament style pin spot for my mirror ball. Well this compact light was MUCH brighter, provided an intense, focused beam, that really worked great with my mirror ball! It's a great deal. I may buy more just to have them. Doesn't take much power and outshines my old par lamp by far. Lighter, smaller cheaper, and also comes with an assortment of colored gels and a lens (haven't tried the extra lens yet)

A great pin spot for your mirror ball!
I bought ADJ's 8" mirror ball kit. It came with a "spot" (loose term) light which basically just flooded the whole room with white light. In order to get a more effective mirror ball, I bought this LED pinspot. It is fantastic and is leagues better than the included flood light. It really concentrates the spot on the mirror ball, producing a much better flood affect, rather than flooding the room with light and hopefully getting some reflection in the end. If you have a mirror ball as part of your arsenal, this is a great light for that purpose.Pros:1) fantastic build2) concentrated spot with minimal wash3) LED so it can run all night longCons:1) not as powerful as other higher end spots, but for the money and for your average set, it's greatOverall I am very pleased with its performance. I think it works great and you will too!

Tight,bright, white
After using the old par lights in the past, LED is the way to go. I had a different brand of LED spot; though bright and white, it was not a very tight beam, bleeding light on the wall behind the mirrorball. This Chauvet is much better ! The lens system keeps a very tight focus around the ball, with virtually no bleedover. Perfect ! In addition, it is small, cool, energy efficient and light-weight (for you mobile DJs). I'm ordering another one !

Very bright, easy to install, but no on/off switch
This light provides a very nice, focused beam for my disco ball. It can't be focused per se, but if you install it the correct distance from the ball, there is very little spillover (light that misses the ball and then scatters on the wall behind it). It appears to be very well made. One odd thing: there's no on/off switch. The only way to turn it off is to unplug it. Weird. How much trouble would it have been so simply put an in-line switch on the power cord?

Why the hate?
I have no idea why people are bagging on this light? I made sure that they do not get hot (as other people stated) and that it would work for hours on end, it does. The unit is very bright and two of them light up a 12" disco ball like mad. I will say that when you insert a colored disc the strength of the beam does decrease a bit but, other than that. if you want to light a disco ball with an LED light, this one is the best one that I found. A bit pricey? Sure, does it work great and use very little power, yes. There you go.

A good replacement for incandescent pin spots.
A pinspot that won't burn out - dims reasonably well, What more could you ask for.Be advised. This is a fairly specialized piece of equipment. It's primary job in life is to light a mirror ball. Do do this it has a very narrow beam of light - but you can place the fixture at a good distance from your mirror ball.IT is very light weight, has adjustable lenses ( or you can use no lens for an even wider throw) and of course does not get hot.The unit is absolutely silent. No fan of any kind.Build quality is quite good for the price.Like most LED units, if you try to dim it, it will bump on / off at the low end - but you can adjust the intensity a bit.

Does not last
Nice, simple, no-frills LED lamp. Like the interchangeable lens (it's kept in with a retaining ring, so best to change if you have some retaining ring pliers). However, the circuit that comes to transform the voltage down to that needed by the LED burns out after a few months. I was keeping this lamp burning 24/7 indoors, stable electricity, no movement, so really ideal conditions, but after a few months the circuit was broken (making the LED blink). Contacted the vendor and got a free replacement immediately the first time around, so that's good, but now that it's burned out the second time again that's no use anymore.

Super Bright Spot with No or Any Color Filter Lens !
This CHAUVET LED Pinspot 2 is super bright ... I actually bought it to use as a Spot-Light for Karaoke Performers in my Man-Cave. At 24 feet from the stage, the light makes a perfect circle on the performer singing. 1st you will have to remove the lens, just clips in or out with a retainer spring and at 20 ft. distance makes a perfect slightly bluish/bright white lighted circle of about 6 ft. in diameter from 20 ft.. Its way bright enough to focus on the performer. I compensated this brightness by using the blue lens filter to dim the light some without the glass lens inserted. Also, I hooked it up to a remote on/off adapter since there is no on/off switch. As for using it on a Mirror Ball, I don't have one but I'll bet it will do the job with all the Glitter you need. It's that bright. Great Price, Good Construction and worth the investment. We Love It !
