Eco Magic Laundry Washing Machine Clean & Soften Clothes Wash Ball - 1500 Washes

This is the second time we have bought an eco ball as it worked so well the first time. It lasts us a good few years, can't even recall...Yes, it doesn't add a nice floral smell to your clothes, but it saves you money and gets the clothes clean.The additional benefit is the lack of strong chemicals which works great when you have a soakaway drain and don't want to kill the good bacteria in the system.

I wasn't expecting much when I made the purchase, I put it in with some of my kids clothes on a 30 degree 28 minute wash to see how it did, I also put it in a wash bag incase it split open I didn't want the balls all over my washing machine. It faired really well no problems with the appearance of it. I put a smelly tea towel in that I had used to clean up a spill and all the washing including the tea towel came out looking clean and didn't smell horrible. Didn't smell great but I've put the clothes on a rinse and spin with some fabric conditioner and hoping they smell amazing when I take them out. So far I'm impressed with this product!

Thought I would give it a try once I heard about the claims - they are all true! You just put it in with your washing and out comes clean and fresh clothes. OK, they don't smell of garden flowers or ocean spray but they do smell clean. I am super fussy about softner and clothes not feeling rough after washing and yes..this amazing ball manages to do that as well! Really my clothes come out just as soft without having to use any softner. I even thought that it was because some of the clothes still had residue softner in them but have been using the ball for months now and clothes are still soft! Try it! It must be better for the environment too?

Overall am happy with this product as is saving me money on laundry detergent - however I found I still need to add about 1/3rd of the amount I used to use. This is because of the smell - this product does leave a weird smell on the clothes. Now admittedly - I gave one to my sister and she has not noticed a smell but she uses Lenor conditioner. I, being allergic to almost everything and super sensitive to smells, do not use any scents or conditioners. But 1 tbsp of my usual unscented laundry powder keeps the smell away usually. Am unsure if just this product as haven't tried the more expensive ones and I am only using one of the balls as didn't see anything saying needed to use both. I may buy another set later and try using two and test. It does get the clothes clean from usual soiling - however I only wear clothes once before washing and do not have kids.

Once a sceptical of these things I thought to give this a go at around £6 - absolute bargain. Even if this was 5x the price, it's still a money saver AND actually cleans your clothes, I daresay BETTER (than powder alone).As a light environmental washer already (every two weeks) 1500 washes equates to about 57 years!It does work, on light soiling anyway, for low temperature washes. Tried at 1400, 900 and 700 rpm spin speed, all great. I do recommend some kind of freshener or softener, as clothes don't necessarily smell fresher other than the water they were just washed with.It's absolutely a no brainer - and get more as gifts for random acts of kindness!

I have used this several times but stopped as it was leaving marks on my laundry. I wasn't aware that it helped clean fabrics at all

Helpful product. Large green ball filled with ceramic beads. Larger than expected and quite weighty. Works well and I've not missed the detergent or fabric conditioner. That said, the instructions do say that fabric conditioner can still be used if you wish it. The only wash that was not so great was white towels. I might run a regular wash for those.I am certainly going to save money, time and effort with this gadget. No more lugging weighty bottles of liquid home from the shops. I save cupboard space and save money too - all whilst being better for the environment!Recommended purchase!
