not a perfect replacement, but does have advantage over tin molds
I really debate between 4 and 5 stars. but i liked it enough, even though it isn't a 100% comparable replacement for the tin molds.I got these to make financiers, liked them so much i got a second one. because who bakes 7 cookie/muffins at a time this is america XDpigging jokes aside (yes jk...), these are just half an inch or so too wide to fit in my 6 slice toaster oven, and the little hippie in my head cringes at the thought of heating up a whole oven just for 7 pieces of financiers, so i totally *had* to get a second one for my sanity. (i used my metal madeleine mold when i only had 1 of these. it was that or i'd feel compelled to throw some potatoes in the oven. ) i noticed immediately that metal pans brown better and cook faster. BUT, silicone is easier to get things out of. you don't even need to butter/flour the silicone, you can just wiggle the pieces out. i forgot to butter my metal pan the first time around, and none of them made out in one piece.silicone bakeware never browns as well as metal ones, but you can get a little bit of brown edge if you up the temperature by 50F or so.I did end up buying some tin ones too. it's bit of a give and take. the tin ones are a lot more expensive, so i wouldn't get 14 of them easily. they're perfect if you just want to bake 5 or 6 in the toaster oven and eat them right away (as you're supposed to) - but not perfect if you live with someone who will gobble up 3-4 financiers within the first 30 seconds of them coming out of the oven, and proceed to down another 3-4 in the next 10 minutes (story of my life)So these silicone molds, while not a perfect sub for its traditional metal counterparts, do have a place in my kitchen.

Just what I expected
The perfect size, I would have liked it a bit deeper, but when my financiers were cooked, they looked awesome and were delicious, I'm trying it for other cakes now. Here is a picture of my financier : [...]

I always have this mistrust about silicone molds but I ...
I always have this mistrust about silicone molds but I have to say, this one worked perfectly on my first "financiers" batch. These little cakes are very close to my heart, and I am somewhat of a "financiers" snob, as I grew up in the north of France, lol. Over there, they are called "friands" and they are scrumptious!!! I needed the right mold and I believe I found it! No disapointment there.

Good product. Just as advertised
This silicone mold does exactly what it should do. It makes a very nice protein bar. I guess it could make a very nice anything that you want to shape like a candy bar. The cavities were a bit smaller than I thought they would be, but that's my fault, I bought before I read the measurements. And even though it was smaller than I wanted it has worked out just fine. Nice product, easy to clean, nonstick.

a little pan
I have used this once and it worked just fine, but the recipe called for many more financiers, they bake for 45 min. so it would have taken me hours to bake them all in this. I used muffin tins for the rest.

My wife loves. I like it!
So easy and fun. We have a double boiler and melt blocks of chocolate . Then we drop almonds or brazil nuts. Crasins raisins whatever in these 7 cavities. Just pour the melted chocolate over the top put it in the freezer for 30 minutes and you have custom chocolate bars about the size of an old school Hershey bar. Did I mention how much the kids like this?

Perfect for Granola and Oat Bars
I got two of these and I absolutely LOVE them. They're perfect for making granola/oat bars, and it's super easy to get the finished bars out of the molds right away so I can get them on the cooling rack before they get soggy.

Perfect for making Financiers!
Right size for Financiers. Need to buy two if you want to have enough for 4 people. I don't love silicon because once you poured the dough into the mould the mould could be too soft to be moved around in the kitchen... but easy to unmold once cooked!
