GADIEMKENSD Unstructured Reflective Breathable Sports Cap Fast Dry for Unisex

I don't write reviews often but I'm picking up another one of these so I figured I would write one. I've worn this hat climbing, hiking, running, paddling, and traveling all around the world and it's done everything I wanted. It's extremely light, about as breathable as can be, solid sun protection, quick-drying (usually just a quick hand wash and a few minutes in the sun and it's good to go), and semi-decent looking. Not bad at all. I'm buying a new one since my last one gave up the ghost after 5 years of faithful service, which I'd say is fantastic for how little this hat cost.

This is an addendum my inital review. After my initial product seams opened/tore- the company reach out to me and replaced the cap. This new product is much higher quality and the materials feel better & the style is a bit different, invasion for the better. Smaller bill, longer reflective highlights. I have not worn it yet but just handling one can see that it is a much improved product.

The strap is hard to adjust when trying to expand it. The underside belt area is hard to cinch in. It's easier to make it smaller, but not wider.Very cute and nice cap though. I have a small head with a shallow forehead, so this fits well for me. My husband has a big head, so this would be too small for him.I'm doing cold capping with chemo, hoping to avoid hair loss, so I need a breathable and reflective cap this summer to protect heat from my head. This would be great to use at the pool later on too! Wish it came more lighter shades (pink, light blue, khaki). I found another cap (same logo) that comes in a multitude of colors and Velcro strap (which I prefer), so I will be checking those out too. This one seems to be better ventilated though (more holes on top).

Updated 5/30/2020 - I wash this hat multiple times a week since I wear it on a 5 mile walk in Florida heat and humidity. I just throw it in the washing machine with other clothes and let it air dry. No problems at all. I wish they had more colors in this model - I have 2 light grey ones.Original review - I really love this hat. I live in Florida and try to be outside everyday. I wanted a ventilated hat with a brim to shade from the sun and one that would wick sweat. This hat is ventilated with fine mesh and perforations in the hat almost all over the top and sides. The front sweat band is soft and comfortable. The hat comes up just a bit over the ears and adjust easily. So much cooler than the canvas baseball hats I had been wearing. I am planning to buy more colors.To be clear there are 2 styles (one with "Believe" on the side) - this review is not that one. I ordered both to compare and that one is less ventilated (only on the sides) and has a longer bill. Also for me the fit was not right.

This has a strap on back for universal sizing, but it slips and doesn't stay in place, so it's hard to get a good fit for a workout. A little wind will easily blow it off.

I purchased this for my fiancé who landscapes for a living 4-5 hours/day and also works at the UPS hub 10 hours/day for 5 days each week. With thick hair and all, he sweats a lot. I picked through over 20 hats for comparison and this hat was the absolute winner! Not only it has the most breathable, lightweight design but is also well-made and the best in appearance with a sophisticated look for a very affordable price! I purchased another for my brother as well and both of them loved the fit and the sporty look. The reflective trim is an awesome added feature for safety and visibility. I highly recommend this item to all the ladies with spouses and loved-ones that like to wear hats and all the gentlemen out there looking for one. As a matter of fact, I may purchase one for myself and my nephew as well :) Thank you for this wonderful product!

As I slowly go bald on top, I need something to keep the sun off the top of my head. A visor is cool but doesn't block the sun in critical places. This hat is so lightweight you'll forget you have it on. The side mesh panels let in lots of air. The top panel looks solid but it has hundreds of "pinholes" in it that also let in air and let out the heat. The buckle in the back makes it easy to adjust the size and there's a place to tuck the extra bit of strap so it doesn't hang down. As a personal preference, I wish it came down lower on the sides of my head but it's not a deal-breaker. I would buy it again.

A long-billed hat sized for larger heads. While it doesn't have the technical materials of more expensive competition, it does have a sweat-wicking band, and the nylon-like material is perforated over the back of the head and over the sweat-band.It's a good fit on my L/XL hat-size male noggin, with room to expand the hat for an even larger head. At my size, the back strap correctly tucks away-- no dangling strap. I've worn it in moderate windy conditions (10-20mph) and the hat has stayed in place. The combination of impervious nylon and dark material mean it doesn't look water-logged like other athletic hats sometimes do.The negatives:* Although perforated, sweat still beads up on the inside of the nylon material. More of an issue in humid climates or for heavy sweaters.* The sizing & unstructured nylon mean the hat usually looks a little crumpled / non-elegant.* The bill is slightly shorter than other "outdoors" hats in this price range.* Once saturated, the sweatband allows sweat to drip down my face.A technical-material hat would do a better job of wicking away sweat and would look nicer. But for this price, it's really hard to complain. This is one I wear when I go for a humid-weather walk.
