Worth it
March 2025Bought this back in 2021 because my apartment doesn't have central air and I have a litter box in an old building. So I come home from work to a dusty smelling place. I bought this and love it. My palce smell fresh as long as i change the filters. Mine needs to be replaced about 2-3month depending.

Really excellent quality
I purchased this about three weeks ago. I also purchased an air quality sensor so I could monitor my indoor air quality. The SimPure is a nice looking unit and works really well. I like that it has four (4) filters all in one. It makes it very easy to change out when the time comes. The fit and finish is excellent. The fan is quiet. I use this unit for my about 800SF great room. With the fan on low speed, I cannot hear it running. On medium, I really have to listen hard to hear it. I can hear it running on high but it's just not an issue. I don't have to increase the volume on my TV if it is running on high. I also purchased an air quality monitor. 0 to 50 ppm is really good air quality. This air purifier keeps my ppm at 3. That is exactly to the unit's specs. Last week I fried scallops for dinner and purposely DID NOT turn on the stove exhaust fan. After dinner, I turned on the air quality sensor and the ppm was over 1300. I turned on my SimPure on high and within about 35 minutes, the ppm dropped back to 3. Two days ago, I fried more scallops and turned on my stove top vent fan. After dinner, the ppm was over 300. I turned on my Simpure and within about 30 minutes, the ppm dropped to 3. During the day time when we are living in our great room we usually leave our SimPure on either low or medium. This unit is also pretty inexpensive to run. On high it uses 46 watts, on medium it uses 36 watts and on low, it uses 28 watts. For most people in the USA, it will cost about 5 cents a day to run for 12 hours on medium speed. I have a vacuum with a HEPA filter and a very soft brush attachment. I suspect that if I lightly vacuum both sides of the SimPure filter once a month, I can extend the filter for a year of use. I live in the NW USA and I sure wished that I had had this unit this summer when we had so much smoke from the forest fires. One last thing I'd like to mention. Before buying this unit, I emailed the seller with a question and he quickly responded. I really appreciated his fast service. The SimPure HP8 sure seems like an excellent value to me!

It really makes a difference
I have 3 pets in my house so I am constantly vacuuming and dusting. It did make a noticeable difference in the air quality. I was pretty grossed out when I pulled the filter out and saw how much crap was built up. Unfortunately I'm leaving 4 stars because of the cost of the filters. I do run it full time but it sucks spending $40 on a filter that lasts me 6 weeks. Knowing Amazon it also wouldn't surprise me if I can't get the filters a year from now. I'll probably end up switching to a Honeywell so I can rely on a long term supply of filters that don't cost so much.

Works great
This purifier is good so far. I also purchased 2 other different kinds and ended up putting this one in my living room. It's an open plan that connects to kitchen dining and hallway. It's a decent size area (for an apartment) but it seems to clear the air pretty well. I have 3 cats and and 2 litter boxes so before this thing my apt always stunk of.. catness. Ew. I have it on 24.7 on low so I am unsure about sleep mode. Had to use high setting a few times when coming back from trips and cat smell was bad. It freshened the place up fast. Doesn't seem too loud to me. Kinda wish it had the quality of air lights like one of my other ones have but it's not a huge deal. When I checked, filter replacements were pretty pricey but this was the best deal I found that had good area coverage and CADR ratings. Not really looking forward to filter replacements but overall I am happy with this purchase

Clean air throughout the night!
We have a little Maltese that sleeps in our room with us and myself who is really just always has an allergy to something, so being gifted this Air Purifier has really been something else. Sleep mode is actually awesome, quiet but gets the job done. Turn that on just before bed and you forget that it’s even running. We’ve been running this almost 16 hours a day everyday for the last month, so I know that filter is getting some work in. I think because our weather has been a little cooler, we can use this as a mini AC, recycling the air and blowing gently back onto us. So honestly, it’s like a 2-in-1 for us (disclaimer, this may not be the case for everyone and may change throughout the year for us). It’s compact enough that it’s basically a trash can in our bedroom. I’d highly recommend this as a nice investment for anyone who is concerned about the quality of air in their bedroom, office, living room, etc.

Incredibly Quiet, Refreshing Air
This purifier hardly even sounds like it's on! Of course that means that if you were hoping this would double as a noise maker, you're out of luck. For the rest of us, however, it's amazing how quiet it is while still pushing out a decent amount of air. I'm no biologist, so I can't offer scientific data on how well it works--maybe the whole thing is a placebo, but I feel calmer and more relaxed when this thing is on. When I was fighting off some fatigue and potential illness, I turned it on and went to sleep, waking up feeling rested and so much better. The slick touch controls are discrete so that your baby or toddler isn't pressing buttons all day. It's a slim design that fits in any space and keeps a modern look. The filter is easy to replace (though I haven't yet had to), and the whole thing is really well put together. It's an excellent product.
