I’ve used these as driveway alarms for ten years. Unfortunately, my gardener tends to knock them off their platform. They are very loud and there is no volume control, so I put duct tape over the alarm until it gets to a sound that I can stand. Battery life is good. When the squirrels dance in front of them, it can ring quite long.

Great alarm. Good adjustable sound level and different noises also. Works great in my harsh Maine climate.I like mine a lot.

Works as expected with many tunes to choose from. Range, however, was found to be less than 300ft with direct line of sight when receiver is placed indoors, which is a typical installation location.

I just bought another set for my other home. These are great and so so easy to install. I installed 1 motion detector on the ceiling outside my front door and I placed the other motion detector just inside my garage. You can mount them with a screw or just set them on a flat surface. The receiver part is plugged into a wall-outlet in my family room. Now, I know when a package/mail is delivered or if someone approaches my front door or comes inside my garage. I would say the motion detectors are weather-resistant but not completely weather proof. I've used mine covered outside for many years with no problems.The volume can be adjusted in many increments to a very loud chime all the way down to a softer chime. There are multiple choices for the type of tone/sound you want to hear. Some are musical tunes. I like the typical ding-dong sound and that's what I use. You would have no problem hearing the receiver anywhere in the house (even on the 2nd floor) if you choose to keep the volume at a higher setting. The motion sensors are battery operated and I get around 6-8 months with regular daily detections. (Tip-use a marker or label and write the date on the batteries when you install them).I have told many people about this set-up. Several have ordered it for themselves and all of them have told me how much they love this.

These detectors work ok but sends a lot of false alarms. Picks up tree movement when wind is blowing. Have to cut the sound off most of the time. I even have them shielded somewhat but still have the problem.
