I needed a file box after my mom passed away and I was executor of her estate to keep all important papers. This is the perfect size and works well. I am going to get another for my own papers.

We didn't want anything other than something our grown children can go to if/when needed instead of trying to find things in our metal file cabinet. We recently completed our funeral plans & are having a very simple will made as we are getting up in age and wanted everything covered for them. I bought other folders that I liked better but the 5 that came with it are fine. It is simple but easy to get to and fits our purpose. It doesn't have the "bells and whistles" so it may not work for your purposes but for us it all we needed and glad we have the essentials all in one place.

I use the file box to keep the papers that my son will need when I'm gone. He has power of attorney and everything that he will need to do is in this file box. I purchased single accordion files for, my will, trust documents, bank account information, house papers, auto title, utilities, papers for direct payments, credit card information, etc. I even have a written paper of what goes to who. Everything is in the file box so then he will be able to just take out an accordion file folder and deal with one thing at a time.

I was looking for a way to organize my day to day, bills. I don't like stacks of paper everywhere. This products works you can organize by twelve months. You will have to purchase more hanging folders and tabs for the hanging folders. If you move around like my friend between houses (buying/selling) keeps important papers at your fingertips. It's sturdy, the latch locks down with a handy carrying handle for convenience. It also looks great and sturdy.

They used to have these things in many stores all the time. I needed a couple more and could not find them anywhere. Not intended to be stackable, they do stack well.
