Rothco 40064: Molle Knife Sheath

Not amazing quality but you get what you pay for overall works for my use.

I bought this knife for several longer knives in my collection.It works great.I find that there are exact specifications for a Molle hang. The sheath is large enough, the button straps are long enough and solid enough.I really like this sheath. It is going to work well for trips where a camp knife is a must.The straps for holding the knife in the sheath are perfectly usable and do not need to be lengthened. I don't find that they don't fit my K-bar or any other of my knives that I have tried to fit in the sleeve.Fitting this knife in the sleeve is not a chore, and if it is go on youtube and see if you can find a video that will help you with the difficult task.

Aside from the badly manufactured retention straps, the sheath holds my KA-BAR Tanto knife perfectly.One workaround for the straps is to gently sever their threads from the backing with an X-ACTO knife (or similar fine blade), buckle the two straps, then loop them through the back of the belt holder and buckle them above the blade handle into a single loose but functional strap, possibly made tighter by an alligator clip or some other device.Alternately, one could restrain the blade handle with a Velcro strap (probably a better and easier solution).

Rothco's molle gear is never a disappointment i have never ran into a issue with there products...no quality issues not even a problem with matching color's with my other gear... as far as quality go they seems to have a good grasp on that some time there items are beyond my expectations and in today's world its rare to find that in a company there orders have always been on time and packaged correctly and i cant speak on having to return any item because i have never had a problem with there products in any way and that's a added plus so with that said i will be buying more of there products as needed so everyone have a great day and get out there and use there products and go camping you probably deserve it order some camping gear and go have fun with confidence knowing your products aren't going to fail in the middle of anywhere you find your self...

I was skeptical of this sheath at first but at that price… I figured it was worth a shot. To say that I was happy with this purchase would be an understatement. Of all the budget buys I’ve made on Amazon, this is the best.Cons-The snaps are a bit tight, but they do fit a Ka-bar handle very well.I’ll be honest, I don’t know that it’ll fit a host of knives, probably just Ka-bar style.Pros-It’s kinda redundant and repetitive at this point but it fits a full size Ka-bar style fighting knife perfectly.The fabric seems strong, I expect this to last for many years.The MOLLE attachments are well made and give great flexibility for carry.Great purchase.

these were so shabby. light duty and skimpy webbing, stitiching. Spec ops are the ones to beat. save up for a good sheath. unless you're planning to store your blade away as a safe-queen--then who cares.

Does not fit Ka-Bar perfectly. It doesn't even fit the Ka-Bar the way it does in the picture! Straps are too short. When it does fit in the straps, knife sticks out of the sheath!Sheath is made of good quality. Reminds me of the Ka-Bar sheaths we used on our flaks in Iraq.Straps need alterations in order to fit properly.Would recommend.
