Cheap but good quality.

Works great. I used the corse thread which I believe is the average kind. Remember the rubber ring it comes with goes in or under the Bathtub. Use plumbers putty and you are good to go.

PERFECT

This is just like the one that was in bathtub originally. The original was broken accidentally because of lack of knowledge on how to use. The top was twisted and broke the brass shaft. I bought a tool to remove the base, installed in about 2 minutes. Seals perfect, fit is perfect, looks like original. I'm very pleased. Best of all, a bath is again an option. Holds water with no drainage.

Flange is a bit too thick but overall good quality material

I like that the drain feels solid, good quality chrome-plated brass. Installation was trouble-free. My only complaint is that since this is a universal product, the wide flange sits higher than the previous drain so there's a small circular ring of water pooled up. Another reviewer posted a photo of the same issue. I worry that this pooling will accelerate any corrosion.

best drain stopper

This is the second one for a tub and works perfect. Same exact thing at Home Depot but hd is twice as much. Maybe it just the Ada store that has these prices, they just keep jacking the prices up

Great Product - replaces a tub drain that is 1-1/2” ID and 1-7/8” OD

I had a lot of apprehension buying this drain because everything said it fits a 1-1/2” drain (which it does) . It was my mistake as I was measuring the outside diameter of the drain , just beyond the threads. The actual measurement outside the threads is closer to 1-13/16 and the inside measures 1-1/2”. The outer flange of my old one was 2-3/4”. See photos attached. It is a nice drain. The only thing I thought was a little inferior are the cross pieces inside the drain but I don’t think that justifies losing a star. These are the pieces that rotted out of my old drain. In case you need it - this is how I installed mine. Remove old drain, remove old gasket between the drain shoe (aka drain elbow) and the underside of the tub, clean up the area and let dry. Remove the stopper from the new assembly by loosening the screw just enough to release it from the brass shaft (do not remove the screw). Remove the brass shaft in the middle. Apply Teflon tape to the new drain ( this may be optional but I do it anyway). Install the new gasket provided under the tub hole and sit on top of the drain shoe. Roll out a length of plumbers putty the size of a pencil and form it into a ring the size of the flange. Insert the new drain fitting into the hole and turn it slightly backwards until it drops into the threads of the drain shoe (this helps from cross threading) then turn it clockwise until it is snug by hand. They have a special tool you can use for the next step (tub drain wrench/dumbell wrench) but I used pliers. Insert the pliers (or special tool) and grab the webbing in the middle. Tighten by hand until you see most of the putty squeeze out. I then snugged it VERY little buy grabbing the pliers with an adjustable wrench. Be careful - the webbing in the middle is not as thick as I thought it should be and it may break off if you overtighten. This would ruin your day. Then reinstall the brass insert in the center and snug gently with pliers. Insert the stopper on the brass shaft and line the screw up with the cutout area in the brass shaft. Tighten the screw - this may be a little tricky because you can’t see it. I put my finger under the stopper against the side of the screw and that seemed to help line it up. Once you clean up the extra putty that came out you’re done.

Not happy with stopper

The stopper is just willy nelly it is not a secure tight pullup when you bring it up. It's wobbly and my old one did not do that so this irritated me more then you can know. So when the water comes on from the faucet it wobbles. Nope, I don't like that. I was thinking it would be tight like my old one. SO I had to screw it on the round part to make it stable and not move. BUT now if I or someone else needs to take a bath I have to unscrew it from drain, unscrew the screw on it and screw the screw on right to the stem To make it be used for a bath. I don't take baths but its just this irritation I can't stand of a wobbly drain topper

Didn't work for my customer

Customer didn't really care for it so that was a waste of time but it seemed to be fine as far as I could see but if they're not happy I'm not happy.

Functional.

It’s very basic, but does the job. It has a tight seal, is easy to install and use. Better than a pop up.
