Q: Do you have to to put wireless mics in this?

Hello. The case is just for the receiver. If you have any space left after that then yes you can put in mics as well. Thank you

Q: Will this be sturdy enough to hold a heavy amp head?

Since this is a soft case, it is covered with a canvas type fabric. I carry some expensive broadcast equipment in mine which is not heavy. I have had the shoulder strap come loose (it actually bent apart) from the case which stunned me but was able to catch and save the equipment. They are handy cases but for an heavy amplifier, I would probably opt for a hard case. These work well for effects, equalizers and outboard equipment but if it was up to me, I would go a little sturdier for amplifiers.

Q: Does this fit an ampeg svt 3 pro?

By what I have read, your amp is about 15.5" deep and this case is only 14". You may get it to fit but no guarantees. Also if you equipment is heavy, be careful of the D rings where the straps clip. They are only bent wire and can come loose and cause the equipment to fall from your shoulder.

Q: Does this open from both sides or just on one side as in pics?

Both ends have zipper opening. The back end so you can access the cords and cables and the front end device access
