Works nicely for my moody husband, when he remembers to take it.

These are great and I do notice a difference when I don't take them. They give me a calm centered uplifted outlook. You're supposed to take two, but I just take one as needed. I have taken two before, but it's just a stronger calm outlook, but maybe too relaxed, which is why I only take one. I'm not looking to sleep. I have work to do. I wouldn't necessarily recommend taking this at the start of the day if you're looking for upbeat energy. I tend to take one capsule the second half of the day after lunch. By the time it kicks in it's about two hours later and pushing towards the evening.What adds to the relaxing feeling is the Valerian root and L-Theanine. They should take the Valerian root out. That's supposed to be for sleep. Not all of us want to spend the day sleepy. We want to be productive and have enough energy to get things done. This is one of the reasons why I knocked one star off. The minerals and vitamins in this are all good for you, so that's a plus. It's just odd that they would mix Vitamin B12 for energy with Valerian Root to make you sleep. Not sure why they decided to mix the two.There is a side effect I've noticed for me and that is that it seems to reduce sex drive. This is no doubt coming from the 5 HTP that's in this as I've taken 5 HTP before and had to stop as it messed with my sex drive. When I stopped taking the 5 HTP, my sex drive came back at full force. For now, I'll only take Mood Support when I truly need it, such as a stressful event is or has taken place. I take this for a couple days and I breeze right through it. This stuff seems to work within an hour or two, whereas prescribed anti-depressants can take up to two weeks to start taking full effect.

I've ordered Mood Support a few times and it's definitely one of my favorite supplements. I do notice a big difference with my mood. It does have a pretty good calming effect, making me feel more relaxed and at ease. There's no harsh smell!

If you tend to get anxious in situations, or in life I highly suggest this supplement. It’s been amazing for me, and my teen daughter! It just literally helps calm your nerves, and helps you not get over anxious. After taking for a couple of years now, when I know I’ll be in higher stress situations, I take one or 2 capsules to help keep my anxiety at bay. When my teen is close to her cycle, she will take these to help with PMS.It works for boys too who tend to get anxious. I also love NOW brands!

These certainly produce more than a placebo effect, but the jury is still out.Effects are calm and focus, with improved sensory perception for me. Most noticeably, colors appear brighter, as if a grey filter had been lifted. While it does not necessarily lift my mood in absolute terms, it seems to make me more inert to stress and negative stimuli.I started taking the recommended two pills about an hour before going to bed. My sleep remained unchanged, with some occasional lucid dreams. I feel a positive, energetic impact during the following day.However, the few times I tried taking one pill during the day or even several hours before bedtime (with food), they seriously scared me. My heart rate starts dropping lower and lower, bottoming out at a level I cannot normally achieve (overall a drop of 15-20 bpm). Blood pressure remains entirely unaffected. I guess this is the ultimate calming effect - getting the heart rate of an endurance athlete by taking a pill.However, that drop in heart rate brings about a mild feeling comparable to nausea, anxiety or general drowsiness, because it is so unexpected. A truly weird feeling - heightened sensation, but lowered metabolism.In many ways, then, this functions like most other "downers". You may experience similar effects from Kava Kava or low doses of medical cannabis.I have to conclude that I simply do not like feeling "medically altered" and would not be comfortable working under such influence.Seeing how scary the effect of one pill is during the day, I must also wonder about the effect of taking two at night - probably not worth the risk.I cannot believe that anything with such pronounced adverse effects can be openly sold in the US...
