Sterling TML125N 63mm Nickel Tubular Mortice Latch, (2.5")

Original mortice latch was starting to fail and becoming unreliable. Didn't want to end up getting stuck in the room so removed the original, measured it and found this replacement on Amazon. Appears to be good quality. comes with all accessories needed including screws and catch. Very simple to fit.

Needed a replacement latch for a sticking door and this works perfectly. Not sure about the long lasting quality as its a bit rough and ready and has a plastic inner spacer which could wear / break with excessive use (this is for an under stair cupboard so should be ok). Overall though for such a cheap price you cant complain and it is fine and easy to fit.

Does the job, very durable so far, feel good, easy to fit.

Ordered this product late at night to replace a broken ERA latch. It arrived the following afternoon and was identical to the broken item.....and a bargain price.....happy days.

This is a simple mortice latch. The last one on the door in question broke after 3 yrs. The first I have ever had break actually. It broke because the component the square rod goes through was a sort of die cast material and it simply broke apart rendering the door inoperable with a significant risk of getting locked in, or out! This replacement is perhaps not the highest quaity but not shabby either. For the price it is fair bearing in mind rapid delivery. I was pleased that the component that broke last time is made of a sort of hard plastic/nylon on this new one. I say I am pleased because I suspect this will not break as easily as die cast one did. When buying these, especially as a replacement you really need to carefully check dimensions, especially if like me replacing one. The plates vary and the overall length between the plate and the square hole vary - as does of course the total length. I did double check the dimensions and was pleased it replaced the old one without any need for adjustment. It is not the kind of thing you think twice about normally until it breaks and I tend to the view that whilst not top quailty this will probably last a long long time. If it does break I will update this review.

Excellent does exactly what was required

Purchased this to replace a broken door latch. This was an identical replacement except that this particular latch uses plastic inner components instead of metal so I suspect it won't last as long. It is otherwise perfectly functional.
