Used it today for the first time

I used it for the first-time today. I didn't understand how to put the bread pan in the machine properly at first. My husband figured it out in minutes. My first loaf has a beautiful crust and smells amazing. Thank-you...

Excellent Gluten Free Loaf

Expensive for me, but it really makes a great loaf of gluten free spelt bread. Wish I had taken a picture. This replaces the $100 horizontal maker that lasted 1 year and 2 months, just out of warranty. I hope this will last twice as long or more than the last machine.

Making the Weekly Bread

Bought this bread maker to try to have the family eat healthy bread, and now I'm a baker! :)Going to say the Cons first: it squeaks a bit, the nut topper I never use is loud as crap, and the free measuring cup seems way off.But I been making bread in it at least once a week and it's been doing awesome. Here is my recipe for plain bread, as the one in the book has way too much sugar and tastes off.1 cup warmed water1/3 cup milk (I use unsweetened coconut milk)3 tbsp sugar (I sub honey instead)3 tbsp butter (I sub Olive oil instead)1 1/2 tsp (not tbsp by accident) saltMix that all at the bottom of the pan then, add 3 3/4 cups flouradd 1 1/2 tsp yeast on topuse program one, 1250g recipe and crust temp you prefer, I do medium...Seems to work best if you put the paddles opposite of each other tooHappy Baking!

Nice, but…

First loaf I made, machine was very quiet while mixing. Second loaf and it is now loud . I still have time to return it, but I may just have to live with it because I do like all the features of this bread maker. Way better than my old one that lasted 3 years and actually seemed to be still working but I would get bad bread once in a while and think the heating element was malfunctioning. Not sure what to do. Is it just loud or is it going to break? Also not a fan of a company marketing a product in America, using US units in the adverse, then the product and manual itself are in metric. All recipes in manual are in metric and I looked in my cabinets and can’t find any measuring utensils in metric. Also, oddly enough, all the bread mixes I buy in America are in US units. All the bread recipes I find online through the US version of Google are in US units. If you are going to sell a product to the US it needs to be in US units. I will welcome this product with open arms when the US catches up with the rest of the world and adopts metric.

Pan size 5x5x8 1/2 horizontal

My first loaf of white bread 2.2 lbs on light crust.Came out verry nice, little bit light on top but not too bad, mixed verry well no left over flour or unmixed flower on the bottom of bread. Bread crumb was excellent, light and spongy, crust was thin and tasty. Don't know if it will bake a 3.3 lb loaf of white bread without touching the lid, but other breads that are denser will probably work. But still 2.2 lbs is a large size 5 x5 by 8 1/2ProsLarge horizontal Pan 5x5x8.5 interior size2 paddles (really mixed ingredients)Powerful motor 850wLarge viewing window 3x6 (really like this feature)Scrolling display that you tell you what function it is doing (mix, rest, kneeding, baking)Ceramic pan ( bread slid right out, verry little mess left in pan)Nut/fruit mixer is nice to haveConsLoud noise when despenser is activated, even when despenser is not in machine, scared me I thought something was wrong with the machine. Only lasts a few seconds, so not really to badNot many functions only 15 ( I'm spoiled my other has 29) does not have a quick bread function for baking powder/soda breadManual is basic verry few recipesDial seams like a unnecessary feature could have just had a pluss and minus button.Cost. 199 is not a bad price for features (horizontal 2 paddle ceramic pan, duel heating element, 850w motor fruit dispenser, large capacity) but it was to much for me as a casual baker. But it was on lightning deal for 150 ish dollars, but at 200 it is still a good deal if you bake alotOverallWould I recommend, yes, but only if you want large size loafs, and don't mind missing a few functionsThe fruit despenser opens before the last kneeding, which is OK for fruit inside the loaf, but I wish there was a option to open after the last rise so it would put nuts on the top of the loaf. This is my third bread maker i tried, first was a walmart artisan, which made terrible bread, tasted all gummy and motor was to week to mix, under cooked with hard burnt crust, and always left unmixed flour at the bottom of bread. Next was the kitchenarm 29 in 1, makes a good bread most of the time, only 550w motor which is OK for small pan, has a great manual and seperate recipe book, excellent customer service, and I was pretty happy with it. I would recommend this to anyone wo wants a cheaper unit with excellent features. Until I tried a friend's bread made with a horizontal bread maker ( starts with a z and is almost $400), and is so much better. I think it is a combination of more powerful motor to mix, and the horizontal pan allows dough to stretch out and rise without all the weight of the dough pressing down.

Good Machine

I previously wrote a negative review for this bread machine but after trying more recipes I was able to get good results. I emailed the company as well and their customer service is great! I am pleased with this bread machine and will get many years of bread making!

Don't bother!

While this is a very good idea, ie large capacity and dual heating elements, the spindles that hold the paddles are poorly designed. It kept popping off the spindles while kneading. I never had that kind of problem before and I've had bread machines for 30+ years. I wanted a second machine for my summer home so I wouldn't have to transport mine from home. I'm sending it back, getting a refund and getting a Zojirushi. Reliable and heavy duty with ease of use.
