Miniatures Storage Case Miniatures Transport Case Aluminum Alloy Frame with Lock (Large Size)

Quite big, sturdy, comes pre-assembled (not a must-have for me but convenient).The trays are well maintained by the foam.I am using this for storage more than transport at this point. The transparent door is nice although the miniatures are not very visible beyond the front-row.This would not survive a flight as a checked baggage, but with the additional foam between the door and the trays it does protect the miniatures properly.Of course it requires the miniatures to feature magnets so that they adhere to the trays. The heavier and taller the miniature, the more powerful (and numerous) the magnets need to be to keep the miniature safe.I store everything from very light miniatures (FDM-printed 28mm skeleton warriors) with one small neodymium magnet, to heavy and tall lead miniatures (war mammoth; flying fragons, giants) with up to 6 or 7 large neodymium magnets each.So far no damage, although I have been gentle and cannot vouch for rough transportation conditions.

I've been through a number of magnet tray 40K cases, and this is one of the best I've found- for less than half the price usually paid! I rarely write reviews, but I just had to for this case!Pros:* Lots of space! Tray height is very easily adjusted.* It's light for its size. I am getting about 50% more storage capacity out of this case than the last one for the same models, and this weighs less. I believe the weight savings is in the walls not being made out of metal. (But, they are still sturdy enough. And the frame does seem to be made of metal.)* The front window door closes and latches. It even comes with a lock and key.* The foam walls that hold the tray edges are smooth and well affixed to the case walls/ solid. The interior feels well made.* The six trays provided are high quality. They also indent downward, and at a relatively sharp angle, so that storage space is not lost to tray contour space.* The handle at the top feels well made.Cons:* The only real con for this case is the trays slide very easily along the foam, and they don't fill the space all the way to the front window, so they WILL slide forward and hit the front window when the case is tipped forward at all. Design-wise, I actually think it's good to have a little space in the front, in case models have elements sticking forward past the front lip of the tray. But meanwhile, this sliding is unnerving. The solution, though, is simple: The case is shipped with shipping foam that fills that space perfectly. So, I will either use the foam in its full size, or, cut out its middle so that a spacer frame is formed. This will keep the trays from sliding, and anyone can do it.* This tray is not made for traveling. It is perfect for car transport to the gaming store, but I would never check this thing on an airplane.For the reasonable price, I can't ask for more. Well done! I will probably be buying another one for a different army soon!

The light is cool, but the entire thing is mostly plastic and flimsy. More than once already, a tray full of minis fell on another one which allowed me the joy of reglueing several of them...

For whatever reason, one of the locks on the case came broken. Our package did had a break in it, but it didn’t line up with the location of the lock. Upon closer inspection, the bar that’s supposed to hold the lock in place is missing an end. And the locking part itself was bent out of shape. Not sure what caused this to happen, but it greatly disappointed our expectation of this product. The rest of the case is fine and works like it should. Having a damaged product upon arrival is not fun.After writing the initial 2/5 star review, the seller reached out to us and offered a replacement to make up. We readily accepted and received a new case that’s perfect! The seller was more than understanding and helped resolve the problem in the best way. We couldn’t have had a better experience in problem-solving with such a caring company. Thank you, WELIDAY!

Update: seller reached out to me, and sent a replacement free of charge, this one packaged in double boxes so it wouldn’t arrive dented. They where incredibly pleasant, and the case is phenomenal!Solid build, holds smaller minis incredibly well, larger minis like knights however take up too much room to be effective. It also came with a small dent in the corner, working on trying to get that resolved now.

first time buying from amazon, no dents, scratches,or issues with the product, delivered a day earlier than the ETA. no complaints here.more than enough space for a 2k army. worth the money, will recommend this to the playgroup this saturday.regrets:i should've bought the magnets.
