Down To Earth Bat Guano 9-3-1 can certainly be applied directly to the soil at the rate noted on the package (1-2 lbs/ 100 square feet). We recommend mixing the fertilizer lightly into the soil and watering afterwards. For best results, apply a fine layer of compost over the top of the fertilizer to assist in nutrient uptake.
