Hi Steven, This will not hurt your lawn. It is natural bacteria that helps organically clear the water. On land it will simply die out. Even if it didn't it only eats waste, destroying ammonia and nitrite, creating nitrates which are fertilizer. Hello, These are water dissolvable packets you can just toss them into your pond.

Thanks for your question. This probably isn't the right product for your pond size. The individual water soluble packets treat ponds up to 1/8 acre and do not have dosage information lower than that. We sell a product called hydrobugs which is 1 teaspoon per 1000 gallons and is a weekly treatment. I've pasted a link to that product below.
