The Best

The best electro fly swatter out there becuase it lacks the external safety shield that many other swatters use. Downside is you can shock someone or yourself but the design is what makes this the most effective killing machine you can buy. We own several of these and the newest one even comes with a safety on/off switch.

This product really is excellent

Extremely powerful. I bought it because of a few big wasps I saw in my house and had a difficult time hitting them with a rolled up magazine. The day after I bought this I saw another wasp flying around; I got it with this bug zapper and it literally exploded in a flash and a big bang. Really does what it promises to.

kills 'em dead

do not lick the wire while the button is pressed. Good balance. I usually hit my forehand with an open stance.

Advertised as it comes with batteries but does not

Said it comes with batteries but did not. So will have to update my review once we have batteries to get it fired up.

The BEST electric swatter?

This could very well be the very BEST, electric swatter on the market. HOWEVER, there is some competition! Enter in to the ring: Elucto. Elucto used to be offered on Amazon, but at the time of this writing, it is no longer available (but you'll likely find it on Ebay). I wrote a review for Elucto where I declared it the best, electric swatter on the market. Now comes the new challenger: The Executioner. I bought this one after reading reviews and watching YouTube videos and felt impressed by it's great performance and build quality, from what I could tell.Having used many electric swatters, I feel I'm a bit of an expert on these things. Straight off the bat, I can tell you that any swatter that uses single layer bars, no mesh and takes 2AA batteries (as opposed to charging) is automatically the best kind of electric swatter and the only one you want to go with. The Executioner seems to understand this, as well, with how it's described on it's product packaging. So, which one is the BEST of the BEST? Well, honestly, that's really up to you. If you can get both, I'd say get both. Both of them have their pros and cons with more pros and very little cons. So, let's just see how they stack up in comparison to each other:The Executioner:Pros:- More powerful- Better build quality- Easier button to depress- Humming noise let's you know it's on/working along with a light indicator- More comfortable in the hands/easier grip- Better nameMinor cons:- Slightly smaller grill area- A little bit heavier- Bigger handle gets a bit in the way on big, flat surfaces- Slightly thicker plastic that surrounds the grill- No wrist strap- No batteries included (at least not mine)Elucto:Pros:- Slightly bigger grill area- Powerful enough- Very light weight- Smaller handle and thinner plastic around the grill allows for better killing of any size insects on big, flat surfaces- Wrist strap allows you to keep it on your wrist or hang it up anywhere with ease- Batteries includedMinor cons:- A little less powerful- Build quality is less, but acceptable- No humming noise, but has a light indicator to let you know it's on/working- Handle not as comfortable or easier to grip- Button not as easy to depress, but easy enough- Weird name (but no worries, there are weirder ones out there for electric swatters)So, you can see why I like both and if a manufacturer could take the pros of both and get rid of the cons, you'd have the perfect electric swatter! As it stands, these 2 are the best and you really can't go wrong with either one. But having both on hand would allow you to use the best one depending on the situation. For example, if a fly is buzzing in the air you'll want The Executioner to zap them good in the air! If it's a fruit fly on a big, flat wall, however, you'll want to use the Elucto to give very little space for escape! Both will work in each area, but one will be a little better than the other in different situations. The Executioner is good for one zap kills pretty much every time. Elucto will need to fry bigger critters a couple of seconds longer to guarantee death (just hold a fly or whatever down a little longer). And with all of that said, if you can find The Executioner Pro, I believe you will have a slightly better competition against the Elucto. The regular Executioner is great, though.

NSFW (Not Suitable For Wasps)

Either I've just met Rasputin reincarnated in wasp form, or this racket doesn't work quite as well as advertised. As I walked through my front doorway today, a little red jacket decided to anchor himself to my right shoulder and machine-gun sting me about 5 times. After squealing like a pig and running maniacally through my living room, I settled down a bit and tracked the little guy down on the tile floor of my living room. I'm not sure if he was snoozing in the afterglow or just rolling on his back with laughter, but he laid still enough for me to clobber him with a shoe. That was the end of that.OR SO I THOUGHT.Hours later, when I finally mustered the nerve to approach his corpse to dispose of it, he had VANISHED. I spent most of the rest of the day in fear, meticulously inspecting everything I touched and everywhere I stepped for fear of booby traps. Don't laugh, it has happened before. I finally spotted him clinging to a recessed spot on the interior molding of a window, probably fully understanding that I couldn't reach him there with another shoe. But, he was unaware that I owned... The Executioner.I removed the racket from my gun safe, loaded it with fresh AA batteries, and approached him cautiously. Holding the trigger down, I slid the racket into an awkward angle against the window, just tight enough to bring the electrodes in contact with his right wing. With a loud SNAP, he was blasted off the window trim and landed on a tabletop below. He'd obviously taken some injuries earlier from the shoe, but he still had enough hatred left in his soul to writhe about in circles. I seized the opportunity and pinned him to the table with the racket, still holding the button with extreme prejudice. The electric surges of the racket tossed him around like a Jiffy-Pop kernel, but he persevered. I kept on him, pop-zap-snapping electric blue until I began to smell the mephitic aroma of roasted wasp. For a few moments, he lay on his back with his legs curled to his chest, cockroach-style.But still, he wasn't done. I slowly lifted the racket, and, I crap you negative, he slowly turned his head to stare right into my eyes, and began to use the one measly stump of an appendage that he could still control to pull himself directly toward me. If he still had a fist, I'm very sure he would have shaken it with the threat of revenge. The racket, at least, had somewhat done its job. It had paralyzed him enough to where I could grab the old trusty shoe again and put the little sumbitch out of his misery. But, isn't The Executioner a tool meant to make pest killing a convenience? It certainly didn't accomplish that in this case. Mosquitos, maybe. Flies, perhaps. Wasps, definitely not. They're just too meaty and ungodly to be fazed by a novelty like this.P.S. May this little guy rest in peace. He was a worthy adversary.

Yes. You want this. You need this.

Holy hella KA-POW!This thig pops carpenter bees, and everything else, like popcorn. The trick is to hold the button to charge up the capacitors and then swing. The longer you hold, the more it's gonna zap those flying demons back to the 7th level from which they came.My only wish, is that the body of the 'racquet' was more solid. It's not flimsy; but it is plastic, so there is a slight wiggle. When sending the carpenter bees to the moon, I fear it may break-- it doesn't, but it's my fear. If it does, I'm buying another one anyways.I give The Executioner 5 Carpenter Bees.
